Have just returned from a one night stay and will definitely return. The staff on reception, in the restaurant and bar were all very friendly, helpful and easy to chat to. Our room was in the 'better' range and although quite small was lovely. Everywhere was very clean, the bed was very comfy and a lovely bathroom with Pecksniff toiletries. If I had to suggest one slight improvement it would be to have some light background playing in the conservatory restaurant to make the ambience even nicer. But that is one very small thing, could not fault anything else. The main building is very old but is decorated in a very chic way with very restful colours. Would recommend it highly.

We booked in to the Crown as part of a Nordic Walking weekender, so used Westleton as a base for walking.

Our room (Snipe) was upstairs in the annex so no noise from the main building could be heard. The room was very tastefully decorated and we had a lovely large bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle.

Tea, coffee and hand made biscuits were available in the room.

As a large(ish) group (20+), we also ate at the Crown each evening and can confirm that the food and service were both excellent.

Breakfast could be a tad slow, but this was mainly due our group all needing to be out by a certain time, so we kind of overwhelmed the kitchens.

All in all, a lovely weekend stay and we would very much like to return.

Room Tip: 'Snipe' has a roll-top bath and shower cubicle in the en-suite.

Stayed here on business having had to cancel a leisure trip here the previous year, so it was nice finally to see what the Crown was like.
At the end of a long journey it was gret to walk into a warm bar with a blazing fire and the smell of good food, and the room I got in the courtyard was very nicely appointed. Enjoyed an excellent dinner, a blissful night's sleep and a sumptuous breakfast (cooked to order - 10/10 for that!!) before having to dash. Only there 12 hours....next time it will be much longer.

Room Tip: I had a room in the courtyard which was very quiet and private....don't know what the rooms are...

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the westleton crown. I had booked the Marsh Harrier suite for my husbands birthday and the room was absolutely lovely. This suite overlooks a pretty garden and has two floors. It has an amazing double ended roll top bath and an enormous comfy bed. We normally struggle to find somewhere nice to stay as we have two dogs so this room was such a lovely surprise as it is so much better than the photos showed. We found the staff brilliant and they made our stay. Both Tom and Alicia were so helpful, knowledgable and friendly and they both worked really hard to make sure all customers were well looked after and happy. We found the food excellent and very well priced. We had the vegetarian option on the menu and it was perfectly balanced and delicious and the ameretto ice cream was seriously good. We Cannot fault any part of our stay it was perfect and we will certainly be returning soon.

Stayed at the Crown for one night as part of a long business trip. I arrived after a horrible drive from London and the warm welcome, good real ale and superb rooms were very much appreciated. The rooms have been decorated in a modern but comfortable fashion. The staff were friendly and efficient without being fussy. Breakfast is served in a pleasant garden facing extension to the rear of the pub and generally I was very impressed by the whole experience. The Crown is a good example of what can be achieved by getting the basics right and not trying to be too clever. I hope they can keep up the standards when I go back.

I am sorry to read your feedback regarding your Christmas celebratory dinner with us. We had lots of groups celebrating during December which was highly regarded, but I am sorry about your thoughts regarding our value for money. All our feedback was very complimentary at Christmas and we put a lot of thought into our food offering. I am confident this year we will continue to ensure we are giving the value for money that all our customers deserve.

My family and I stayed in this hotel for the weekend as we were visiting southwold to go to the 'Latitude' festival. When we arrived, the helpful lady showed us to our room. I was pleasantly surprised to find a large, light, clean two floored room. My parents slept in the large room upstairs, with a king sized bed, T.V, bath and tea and hot chocolate.........
My sister and I shared a double sofa bed in the downstairs lounge/t.v area. The room was light, clean and spacious.
We also had a bathroom equipped with a walk in shower, bath salts and goodies, loo, sink and fluffy white towls and robes. Once we had changed into smarter clothes, and had unpacked, we went to and sat outside in the beautiful 'fairytale' like garden surrounded by fairy lights. Then, we were shown to our table by kind, friendly staff. Our meal was delightful! Then, once we had finished, we retired of to bed...........

Room Tip: Our room was near the restaurant and bar; don't be put off as we could not hear any noise comin...
