Stayed there for 2,5 weeks in July 2018.
Nice appartment, partly reniewed and "Ikea outfitted". Very well equipped! Lovely little basement terrace (unfortunatly without table/chairs).
Nice, rather quiet area close to beach, main road and bus stops.
As it is a basement appartment, it feels a bit damp after a couple of days (the small anti-moisture device we've found in the kitchen seems not enough).
For people used to more modern (not luxury!) standards: entrance door is original and lock is "old style" (safety issue?), hot water in the kitchen takes a long time, some light switches are ropes to be pulled and too high for persons up to 1,50m. Windows of the streetside bedroom are origninal and cannot be opened properly (only lifted about 2cm) so there is little air flow. The shower (not a second bathroom!) is located separately in the small corridor to the rear bedroom. The waterflow is set and cannot be changed, only the temperature.
For taller people: Parts of the living room and rear bedroom have a lower ceiling (2,20m?) and to access it one must pass a 1,90m door
Overall it is rather calm but people with "light sleep" staying in the rear bedroom could hear the above neighbour walk, use bathroom and even snore.
If bed sizes indicated in the general description seem unclear: streetside bedroom 1,40m wide single matrass bed and rear bedroom 1,60m wide bed with consisting of 2x80cm matrasses. Some visitors (used to having a "single person blanked" each) should also know that there is only one big blanket (for up to 2 persons) per bed.
My partner and I had a week here in May and will be back soon. What a lovely easy place- close to the restaurants and cafes of Hove, close to the county ground for the cricket and to the Lawns to walk away the early mornings and while away the evening strolls with the crashing waves. This location is simply ideal - about a 15 minute walk to central Brighton but Hove is where the heart of the good life really is. As for the apartment well it is a well laid out and well designed modern pad. Plenty of room for two couples and a great place to cook, chill and eat together. Quiet yet classy in style and everything works just how you'd want it to. Excellent value and easy to deal with in terms of planning and set up for our stay. Totally relaxed at the end of our week.
A fabulous property with accurate description and photos to match! We stayed here for a long weekend, with Brighton Lanes and town centre within each walking distance of say 25 minutes. The property is located in Hove, with the beach a mere 3 minutes walk. Near enough to Brighton yet far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle of Brighton itself. Lots of local deli's, cafes, restaurants, convenience shops and boutiques shops to get that special buy! The property was perfect for four of us adults, with ample space not to be on top of each other. Nice outdoor space where we enjoyed al fresco dining on one of the evenings. Modern decor and furnishing with extremely comfortable bedding and bathroom facilities. A home away from home stay with all the essentials you need for a perfect stay. Would definitely go again.
Whilst a little way out from Brighton city centre , a 2 minute walk to the bus stop and friendly uber taxi drivers made the commute cheap and easy. We were there on the weekend of the Brighton marathon and with the superb weather the 30 minute stroll into town was pleasurable. At the end of the road there are great cafes, deli's, and shops all you need. The apartment had everything we needed, with great modern design and furnishings. The shower is electric so piping hot water but couldn't get any hot water from taps! A frosted shower door would good but we managed.
