The bedroom was large and most importantly the very large double bed, two singles pushed together, was very comfortable. There was minimal noise so you should get a good nights sleep. The room had LED TV, coffee making, table, chairs, stand for suitcase, wardrobe, phone.
The staff were friendly. Breakfast was typical Best Western with choice of English or fruit/cereal/continental. Guests were a mix of tourists, business and trades people.
Our room was spotless, no sign of wear. The bathroom was a little dated but perfectly adequate with a good shower, toilet and bath. The room next to ours was in the process of being updated so you might be lucky and get a more modern bathroom.
Close to Hove itself, approximately 1.8 miles to Brighton Centre, a good 30 minute walk along the front or via Hove and Brighton towns. There are restaurants nearby, including a good friendly Turkish restaurant, a pub and several other places.
The only negative was the limited car parking meant we could not get in the car park on one night. This is not a major issue as there is plenty of street parking (and King Alfred Car park nearby, charge £2.50 for 3 hrs). There is no charge overnight between 20:00 and 09:00.
Overall it is the larger than average room kept to a high standard and the comfortable bed which makes this a good hotel. I would go back again.More
