“Perfect Spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2013

I have to disagree with the review below “what a shocking hovel” - I think that person stayed at a completely different Guest House! Our room was very clean, the bed extremely comfortable and the room was just the right size for our two night stay. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach-front and also a 2 minute walk to the centre where there are a huge choice of bars, pubs, restaurants, cafes - everything for everybody. Regency Lansdowne is an extremely friendly and helpful run Guest House; I would recommend it to anyone and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Just returned from a weekend at Regency Lansdowne, would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to friends. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, is very attentive at breakfast without being intrusive. Continental breakfast is lovely offering fresh fruit, cereals, warm croissants, toast is freshly prepared and there are cold meats cheeses and breakfast cake available. The rooms are spotless and bed extremely comfy with good quality linen, Nice location just a 2 minute walk to the prom and close to local restaurants and bars, of which there are many to choose from.

Contrary to previous adverse comments made we found Mike very friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the area, restaurants and the local transport services. The continental breakfasts were excellent and the accommodation was clean and comfortable.

the most rude hotelier ive ever met. the room was old dated and overall dirty.the bed was uncomfortable. not worth the money paid to stay there. I would not recommend anyone stay there. They lie and say that the rooms are en suite.

We travelled to Brighton to visit my daughter who is currently at Uni. We travelled as a family with a two year old. The B & B allowed my daughter to come and go from its premises this was good as some hotels in the past have been funny about this and that was the purpose of a visit.

The B & B is situated in a good central location although more into Hove then Brighton but it is only about a 10 minute walk to the shops and the beach is at the bottom of the road.

The accommodation is small and cosy but fit for purpose for the cost. A few things to note the bathroom is a little on the small size with a toilet that fills randomly which can be a little annoying and doesn't give a pleasant smell at times but with the door shut this is not that noticeable. The shower is a little on the small size as my partner is over 6ft and found this a little bit of a squeeze

Breakfast was a little limited if you don't like cereal, although croissants and cake were offered along with a fresh fruit salad, a small selection of cheese and toast on request. We travelled with a two year old who eats like a sparrow and they only charged us a minimal amount for him which was great as paying full price would have not been beneficial as he didn't consume enough food to warrant the charge

The room was cleaned daily and despite being asked to leave a tip for the cleaners as he claimed that our toddler had left a mess daily. we did not leave a tip as we didn't feel it was necessary as we didn't feel that this was warranted or indeed that our toddler had left an unacceptable mess.

overall this is well situated friendly guest house which we would recommend as a comfortable stay and we would stay again.

Service was great and accommodations were clean and cosy, even thought the street was noisy. Location is in Hove, but right on the border with Brighton and a short walk or bus ride from the town centre.

we were looked after very well here, very friendly couple run this and advise and helpfulness was no trouble when we asked. rooms clean and tidy, gentleman advised us where to park, nothing seemed to be to much trouble for them, felt like they were good friends by the time we left. definalty recommend this to anyone who wants to be close by not right in the noise of centre as we did as this was a break from our kids, but a nice stroll by the sea away . i liked the breakfast, even though continental it was enough for us to be set up for the day. xx

Room Tip: any of the rooms would be good.
