Situated where it is on the A37 we find it very handy to break a regular family journey here for a light lunch stop or just a cup of tea. There is always a warm welcome and a smile from the excellent, cheerful and efficient staff. They are open every day (except Glastonbury Festival first day when the road is impassible) for late breakfast, lunch and tea (11:30 - 4) but perhaps 10-5 would be a bit better for passers by. Prices are a little above average but you certainly get the extra value. Popular with the locals and regular passers by.
Sensible range of café eats and drinks, all well and quickly prepared and served. Ambiance is clean, fresh and uncluttered and there is soft and comfortable seating inside including an area with sofas and easy chairs. There is outside seating and plenty of free parking. Loos spotless. You can have a look around the excellent Jon Thorner's Farm Shop when you are done in the café.
Staff had excellent product knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of allergy issues. Cleanliness and hygiene are of a high order and there is easy disabled access.
I am very happy to give this well run and professional café a very positive recommendation. We will certainly be back.
