On the recommendation of a family member , we held a family get-together over Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday. Although I live locally , I had not sampled the food here before . Sunday lunch is served on a carvery basis with a choice of four meats and a wide range of vegetables . You can have as many variations on the meat as you like. I had the turkey and gammon both superb and in generous portions. There was also beef and pork available . Although I was trying to keep things under control ,I ended up with a large plate bursting at the seems. After allowing time for my stomach to settle , I followed this with a fantastic plumb crumble with a generous portion of ice cream. The sweet menu was on offer that week at a staggering £2.50 . Fantastic value for such a generous size , full of flavour dessert . The staff were friendly and although the décor was not brilliant the whole experience was greatly appreciated by all the 10 family members. Well worth a visit if you want quality and quantity at a reasonable price.
