We were hoping to stay in the old hall itself as it's so lovely but I had booked a "deal" online for DBB in an exec room so you must have to ask to stay in the old hall itself ? We were upgraded to a four poster room in the old coach house and former granary across the garden and the room was huge ! We went across to the little bar area before dinner and it was very quiet but had background radio music on , which surprisingly they also had on quite loudly in the dining room? This didn't really go with the olde atmosphere and while the three course table de hote meal was lovely , again the olde room itself was too bright , big lights on, and with the radio background could have been any hotel room where I know it's personal taste but with dimmed lights and softer background music on it would have been really lovely?
We decided to have breakfast brought to our room next day and it arrived on time and was lovely
We would go again if we could stay in the old hall as from what we could see it was beautiful and reputedly haunted , but all on all we enjoyed our stay there very much

This Hotel we rated as very good , house and gardens lovely. Food excellent but menu choices limited. Buffet breakfast - fruit was displayed in small quantities considering the amount of guests there were! Room in the annex was excellent but walls were thin and embarrassing at times!

We visited this hotel for one nights stay and have to say that it does look amazing from the outside. However on the inside all is looking a little tired and in need of updating. Our bedroom could have done with up dating thought they had just fitted a new bathroom. However the staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good and service as great.

This hotel is beautiful, really old and interesting with lovely grounds. It claims to have ghosts and certainly the twisty stairs and cubby holes make you think they might be there. It is suitably furnished and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We found it very convenient for visiting Stratford on Avon. We were only there for one night and breakfast. The bed in room 9 was not the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Breakfast was adequate.
