Owner description: Winner of 'The Perfect Family Day Out' but Visit Scotland and The Daily Mail, Landmark Forest Adventure Park also won Mumsnet 'Best Outdoor Playground' award. Where else can you twist and turn through the trees on a family friendly roller-coaster, take the plunge down one of three water coasters and even get the chance to walk through an amazing tropical hot-house with hundreds of stunningly beautiful butterflies and exotic flowers!? Be intrigued at the world’s first Bamboozeleum right here in the Cairngorms; you’ll enter a magical gallery of illusions and puzzles to test the sharpest of wits. See infinity rooms, morphing machines, thermal imagery and more that will fascinate the youngest to the wisest of minds. Take an adventure down to the Wonderwood where nothing is as it seems! Here you will find three mind-boggling cabins where the normal rules of physics simply don’t apply. Which one will be your favourite – The Spinning Vortex, Topsy Turvy Room or the Growing-Shrinking Room? For those looking for a real challenge why not take on RopeworX, the first high-ropes course of its kind in the UK. According to scientists you are officially 98% monkey, so now’s your chance to put their theory to the test. Harness up and step up to the plate! For those under 1.5m, the Tarzan Trail offers a great alternative and the Wee Monkey Trail is absolutely ideal for those aged 2-5. Perhaps the mightiest challenge of them all though is Skydive. Skydive is a pure adrenaline experience, just harness up, climb the mast to 50 feet and step off… easy! Just don’t let the nerves get the better of you! The latest addition to the park is the Butterfly house, which is an amazing tropical hot-house with hundreds of stunningly beautiful butterflies and exotic flowers. Watch close-up as they hatch, fly and feed on nectar and fruit. Make sure to look out for the recently added Asian Quail, scuttling through the undergrowth! Are you brave enough to follow in the footsteps of the Lost Explorer to the safety of The Amazing Tree Mansion? Bubbling mud pools, dangerous caverns, dangerous creatures and a magic waterfall gateway are just a few of the challenges that will bring your adventurous family lots of laughs and scares on the way. Don’t forget to take in the beauty and tranquillity of the 10,000 year old forest via the Tree Top Trail. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for some rare, red squirrels on the way! If you enjoy this walkway, then you’ll love the panoramic views from the top of the Forest Tower. Families have been enjoying Landmark Forest Adventure Park for nearly 50 years and with all these great activities on offer, it’s a must-do for any family in the Cairngorms National Park!

I'd never even heard of this place before my visit! Great park so much to do for all ages of kids.
Weather wasn't great but it didn't effect our visit much.
Great day out, we spent all day here. Will be back!

Only wee negative comment is the cafe was really overpriced. It annoys me when places do this!

Thank okiv

Excellent day out at Landmark. We were lucky as we had a great sunny day. There is a lot of activities for children measuring 1.1m or over as they are allowed on most things like the roller coaster, climbing wall, Tarzan tree top walks and much more. For the smaller ones, if they are aged 4 or younger they get in free as there is not south for them to do. It is an outdoor adventure park with the added twist of bamboozledum which has loads of scientific puzzles etc. My daughter particularly loved the water slide but as she went on it nearly 15 times I would advise a change of leggings/trousers as they can get pretty wet. The firepower was also goo as we climbed all the way to the top to see a panoramic view of cairngorm national park. There is a restaurant in the park as well as a fast food take away area the prices are reasonable but you can always take a picnic as there are some picnic benches met to the any house. All in all a great day out.

had an amazing day at Landmark on 30 March 2014 staff were all very friendly and helpful and made sure we all had an excellent day. Facilities are spotless and the park is done to a very high standard. Lots to do for all ages.

Will deffinately be going back as not enough time to fit everything in.

Weather was great (for March in Scotland)

Well worth the drive from Inverness and Moray given that the attraction is so well priced. There is so much to do that it's easy to spend a whole day here - although its best visited in the Summer.
There are water slides (in boats so you don't get too wet), a treetops obstacle course, nature walk through the trees on raised platforms (although they have a version of this which is wheelchair accessible too) and a science centre as well as many other smaller activities.
There are things to do for older and younger children, but you'll have a great day as even without kids there's plenty to keep adults entertained. Don't miss the log sawing!
The gift shop is very good, the only negative I have is that the cafes are not great. The food isn't nice and is quite overpriced. We always bring a picnic lunch and keep it in the car until we want it - there is a free car park outside and you are allowed to leave and go back in again as they stamp your hand on entrance. I would reccomend doing this to save money.
Don't leave until you've tried everything!

Many thanks for your very kind award of five stars - we are delighted that you had such a good time in your past visits.
You will be glad to know we have added and are adding even more elements to our three newer attractions - Bamboozeleum, Wonder Wood and the Lost Labyrinth all of which are turning into firm favourites for our guests.
I was sorry to hear that you were not a fan of our Foresters Restaurant or Pinewood Grill snack bar. We try very hard indeed to strike a balance between low cost but high quality foods with a big emphasis on home cooked and local suppliers whenever possible. We have been improving our offer year on year to the point that our customer feedback is mainly in the very good to excellent range for both outlets for both quality and value for money. We aim to keep on improving that so people do not feel the need to bring picnics if they would rather not. Success in our catering also helps us in our overall target of ensuring a great value and amazing day out for all our guests.
Many thanks again for taking the time and trouble to review us.

This is the second time we have visited during Winter and it was good to see new attractions. We love the tree top walk and reading the information points, we saw a red squirrel and chaffinch. Bamboozeleum is a collection of optical illusions and light exhibitions that children can really interact with. We spent a good hour in this part alone.
The Lost labyrinth is a wooden maze where there are surprises around each corner-I think in Summer there may be sound and water on this attraction but wasn't during our visit. We had great fun splitting into two teams and racing to the "center".
Wonder Wood is great and still being expanded-some wonderful photo opportunities and a twirling tunnel to navigate.
Ant city is a play park that kept our children very happy and busy, slides are big enough for Mum and Dad too.
The fire tower is a huge tower with amazing views from the top.
We also made purchases in the gift shop which is good value and has a variety of toys and gifts. We had a lovely day out and at £14 for a family of four the price was great too.
