My boyfriend and I stayed here during a week's roadtrip around Scotland. Christine and Michael greeted us with tea and biscuits on arrival and took time to get to know us and find out about our trip. The rooms are homely and comfortable (and made up for us each day), the sitting room is cosy with a fire and TV, and the food is good. The dinner menu perhaps offers more choice than it needs to, offering so much choice that we wondered how it could all be fresh. The morning porridge was the best I've had and my boyfriend loved the kipper. Overall, I could not fault the standard of service from Christine and Michael.

Room Tip: Only saw one room so no comments

My husband, my 2 little kids and myself stayed here for 2 nites and we couldn't have asked for anywhere better to stay. From initial contact when I called to book to the day we left everything was perfect. We received a warm welcome when we arrived, shown the lounge & dining room then up to our room. Our family room was beautiful, exactly as in the photos with a cot for our son. At breakfast time a high chair was already in place, even a tumbler for my 3yr old daughter instead of a glass!!! Breakfast was delicious and the kids were well provided for too. After being out all day with the kids we had a warm welcome & told just to ring bell if we needed anything. It was lovely to go into the beautiful lounge where the fire was lit, to sit & have a hot chocolate while the kids wound down. On departure we were wished a safe journey home and to "take care". All in all the carrmoor is a fantastic place to stay, the owners are fantastic and it's a very child friendly place to stay. We will without a doubt be returning.

Just got back from visit to the above for the 5th time over the past few years. The standard of accomodation and food again without reproach. Would recommend 100% to anyone looking for a break/holiday in the Scottish Highlands.
As always our hosts Christine & Michael were first class in all they did during our stay.
Again would thoroughly recommend and do not consider that service and standard could not be bettered anywhere in Scotland.

When you find a guesthouse whose customers return year after year there has to be a reason and at Carrmoor it is the friendly reception and the superb food. There is a sitting room where guests can have coffee following their meal and chat with other guests. After several visits you begin to become one of the family of guests who visit Carrmoor regularly. An excellent stay and highly recommended.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Carrmoor Guest House. Christine was gracious; full of warmth, and on top of every last detail. Michael shared a wealth of knowledge on the region; what to see, and what to overlook. His food was outstanding. He even added Sticky Toffee Pudding to the menu after I raved about some I had elsewhere, and his version put the previous dish to shame. The rooms were attractive, comfortable, and clean. The tiny village of Carrbridge was great for walking, just a few minutes from bustling Aviemore, and surrounded by lush forest.
Tea and coffee with repeat guests was the highlight...
You know its a good stay when you're sad to say goodbye. We can't wait to return.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Carrmoor Guest House. The food was fantastic and was the hospitality. We will definitely stay here again if we manage to make it back to Scotland.
It was so quite at night, we had a great sleep. It is in a very gorgeous wee village close to a variety of attractions nearby.
