Visited carrmoor guesthouse quite a few times and I can only say it is superb !!! You get a fabulously warm welcome and nothing is ever too much trouble . The rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean . Breakfast is truly amazing with so much food which is cooked to perfection . I cannot recommend this guesthouse highly enough !!!

Stayed just after Christmas, what a lovely B&B,as in all the other reviews, the service from Christine and Michael was fantastic. On arrival given a much welcomed tea and biscuits in the lounge which had a lovely roaring fire.the room was immaculate and I can honestly say I have never been in a cleaner room and the breakfast was just as good anything you wanted.Thankyou very much,we will definitely stay again if in the area.

Our second stay at this excellent establishment and this time we had three rooms. Travelled up to the highlands on 19 December and delayed due to bad weather conditions and although arriving after kitchen closing time was treated to a great spread by Michael. Nothing is too much trouble for Michael and Christine and, although we have stayed in many guest houses in UK and South Africa, we have never stayed at an establishment where such very high standards are constantly maintained. Can recommend without any hesitation whatsoever.

We stayed at Carrmoor for two nights and were pleased with delicious foods made by chef Michael and the fantastic service that Christine consistently provided to her guests. The rooms were comfortable and the location convenient to so many distilleries, outdoor activities, and castles- we didn't have enough time to see it all! Many thanks to making our stay so wonderful.

We have passed this Guest House times many whilst visiting friends in Carrbridge, but this was out first stay here, and it will not be the last! Arriving after a long days drive the welcome from Christine was as though she was the old friend we were visiting, she made us feel right at home immediately. The room she gave us was very inviting and she showed us where everything was before leaving us to unpack. She then made us a pot of tea and coffee to have in the lounge, which with its open coal fire and contemporary decor was very snug. Breakfast the following morning was a choice from the menu, from which I had the full Scottish which included my first taste of Haggis which I must admit was better than I imagined! The evening meal was a delight, I cannot fault Michael's cooking, the portions were large very tasty and not overpriced, being fully recommended. The room was very clean and comfortable, the shower being old but very usable, and the fixtures are in need of an update, however I understand this is underway but as it stands it in no way put us off.

Christine was a delight to be with and she cannot do enough to make the stay memorable. We will certainly be partaking of her hospitality in future.

As for the location, Carrbridge is a small village but is a friendly place not too far from Aviemore and the Cairngorm Mountains. If you wish to chance seeing Deer closeup and are patient, take an evening drive down Station Road and continue to the Glen at the end, there you will often see Deer come down to the river. It well worth the effort.

We stayed three nights in the middle of September. The experience was exceptional from the welcome by Christine & Michael on arrival to departure. The breakfasts were better than home cooked and the evening meals delightful. The portions being large and everything perfectly cooked.
