“Fantastic Stay A+”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2012

I spent a lot of time hunting for somewhere to stay in Carrbridge and came across An Sealgair and thought it looked lovely! We were delighted with our short stay at An Sealgair and couldn't of felt more comfortable, or at home.

Scott and Jadine were excellent hosts and very welcoming. Our 18 Month old Son Loved playing in the garden with all the toys available and had great fun Stone hunting in the woods which are right beside the B&B. Def. an excellent place for children to stay, we were allowed to keep milk that we'd brought with us for our son in the fridge and all his cups and bibs were washed for us to which was a great bonus!

A travel cot and bedding were provided for us so we didn't even have to worry about squeezing ours along with us for the journey & the wee man loved being in it and slept fine both nights which was a god send.

After being in the Catering Industry myself for 10 years i cannot fault our stay at all - I was amazed at how much we were provided for the price we paid - it was truely fantastic. Def went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellent and is the best cooked breakfast I've ever had - the black pudding was sooooooo Good! Even our son was in his eliment yumming away on his tattie scone!

The room came equipt with a freeview tv & dvd player, Teas tray with all the goodies of a funcy hotel, en-suite and even shower gel! The room was spotless with new clean decor and you could tell a lot of time, love and money has gone into making the rooms so lovely. Bedding and towels were of good quality to!

The only thing I missed was a face cloth after forgetting to put ours in = )

Would def stay again and reccommend to all our friends and family Thanks guys - keep up the good work!

(We also ate in the white hotel in Carrbridge which was a standard Pub meal and also ate in the Hairy Haggis in Aviemore the second night which we all really enjoyed - haggis, neeps and tatties and scampi with fresh salad and trimming it was really good. )

Lovely welcome with the offer of tea or coffee on arrival.Absolutely spotless and tastefully decorated. Owners offered us the use of their own lounge of which they didn't use very often and which had a log burner going. Scott saw my husbands mtb on the back of our car and offered to take him out and guide him around some local trails, which went down really well. We have 2 small dogs which was not a problem. Plenty of suggestions from Scott and Jadine on where we could walk with the dogs, with the bonus of a lovely Scots pine woodland sited at the back of the house. Great breakfast that keeps you going all day. Anyone should strongly consider staying here when in the area as they will not be disappointed. This couple are what b and b is all about. They have it nailed, they can't do enough for you. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

This is a great place for couples or families with young kids. Jadine and Scott went much further than only the extra mile to satisfy all our needs. Even our kids (2.5 and 1.5) loved the place, as there are so many toys (indoor and outdoor) around.

Even though our boys spent all day hiking, tubing and going to an amusement park they still had enough energy to stay up and watch DVDs. They really enjoyed playing on Aiden's trampoline and giant swing. The backyard is a forest with filled with trails to explore. Two nights were not enough with this kind family in this wild part of Scotland. The grannies in the group that didn't want to go tubing had a short walk to the train to Loch Ness from the B&B.

On arrival to day of departure we couldn't ask for a more friendly and welcoming family. They were really helpful with places to visit. Our room was excellent with a view of the woods and we were privileged to see some red squirrels which had been spotted by Jadine and Scott. On one of our days we were also fortunate to spot a red squirrel ourselves running along the garden fence opposite our bedroom window. We were very lucky to see a second squirrel join it and we watched for at least 15 minutes before they disappeared out of sight. The breakfasts we had were of a high standard and you were greeted every morning with a cheery good morning from both Scott, Jadine and their young son. We will certainly be revisiting this b&b because the location and hosts were perfect for us.

My boyfriend, his parents and I stayed here on a trip through the Scottish highlands.

We had a great stay.
Pros:
We loved the common room / dining room and were grateful for use of the family board games.
Breakfast (full Scottish) was good and I appreciated the vegetarian sausage option!
The rooms were big and clean.
Scott and Jardine were great hosts-- very friendly and kind.

Cons:
Would have enjoyed some fresh fruit at breakfast
The house itself lacked some "charm"-- is not an old or historic house.

For better or for worse depending on what you want out of a B&B, this really felt like staying in someone's house rather than at a hotel.
