“A nice quiet stop over.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

We stayed here on the way across to the western Highlands because we had stayed here before on our honeymoon in 2004 and found it a really nice place. It's a nice quiet village which hasn't really changed in that time and, is not far from Inverness for shopping etc.
Great old drovers bridge in the centre which is worth a photograph or two.

Thanks for taking the time to review our golf course...we appreciate it. The "old" bridge was built in 1717 to take coffins across the river to the old cemetery at Duthil and must be one of the most photographed bridges in the Highlands. Glad you enjoyed your golf and hope to see you back in the future.

“Gem of a course”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

Recommended by my brother and I took the opportunity to play the course when up from Glasgow for work in Grantown-on-Spey. Cracking course with some challenging holes and extremely well manicure by the green staff. Only managed 9 holes but will definately be back to enjoy some more golf.

Thanks for taking the time to review our course, we appreciate it. We have a few members from the Glasgow and Central belt area so it's good to hear that you enjoyed the scenery as well. Course is in good condition at the moment and it won't be long till the heather is in full bloom - at that point the course is at its best. Perhaps the next time you'll be able to play 18 holes and play some of the holes from a different teeing ground. Thanks again.

Thanks for taking the time to review our course, we appreciate your kind words and I'll pass them on to our Head Green Keeper. Although only 9 holes we pride ourselves in the warm welcome we give to visitors and the condition of the course. Having played Boat of Garten recently I think we compare very well on price and condition. Thanks again for the review and perhaps we'll see you again another time...did you par the first?

Margaret, thanks for taking the time to review our course. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much you've asked for applications to join! I'll respond to that via eMail separately. The course is in good condition at the moment and we've just spent three weeks painting the clubhouse and outbuildings - all done by a few volunteers! Really pleased with the result. Hope to see you next time you're up on holiday

“Exceptional golfing experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

As a Society we joined in the Stewart Taylor Open on Sunday. An expertly run Open on a very pretty course with stunning views. The course was immaculate; very well prepared, tidy in every detail (including the gardens) and the greens were superb. A very warm welcome was topped off by some excellent fare after the round. A great place to visit. We then went on to play another (prestigious) course nearby and, although it was more than three times the price, it was disappointing in almost every respect compared to Carrbridge. Just goes to show how reputation can lead to complacency. Please note, some of our Society members are also members at Carrbridge however this review is the collective opinion of everyone who attended.

Thanks for a wonderful review, we really appreciate it. Sometimes, as you say, bigger is not better and at Carrbridge we make the most of what we have, focusing on making visitors feel welcome and presenting the course in the best possible way. Duffus Golf Society will be welcomed at Carrbridge any time. Thanks again for the review
