If they ever made a follow up to the movie 'Local Hero' then they should film it here. Situated right on the small harbour of Dunure, it is picture perfect.
Stayed for a weekend in February with my partner to celebrate her birthday. We booked Bed Breakfast & Evening Meal, staying in the larger 'family' room on the first floor facing the harbour.
Accommodation was spot on, room was lovely and cosy. Food was 1st class with the emphasis being on fresh locally caught fish; it can be summed up with three words 'Yum Yum Yum'. Michael the Chef constantly coming out to chat to the customers and check all is well.
This is a family run business, and it has been turned around brilliantly in such a short space of time, as previous owners had let the place go somewhat. Decor is warm and with real fires in the dining room and the very spacious and cosy lounge, the atmosphere is one of total comfort and relaxation.
Staff are very efficient cheery and helpful.
