wonderful beach but very difficult for me (disabled) as very small windy roads to get down to beach and had to transfer to very small putput thing which was very difficult. Could not stay there but was able to reach beach with a lot of help. Would recommend this trip for able bodied people.

Pretty beach but sea better for water sports rather than swimming. This is the only negative of our stay and the pools more than made up for it

It was lovely being on the Atlantic side of the island because of the breeze in such scorching temperatures.

Long, wind swept white sand beach with palms and sea grape trees. Lots of little places to park, several eating spots, including the Reef. Also great for wind and kite surfers. Locals like to swim, relax and sometimes parties happen on the beach. That being said the beach is long enough to find a quiet area for yourself.

This is a beach where locals hang out, and most tourists never see it - despite the fact it's less than 5 minutes from the airport. It's a really long beach, with sand, and if you want privacy it's likely that at some point during your trip there you will be the only or one of only a few people enjoying it. It's directly across from the protected Maria islands, and it's where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean, so there are always wind and waves. Park your car under a sea-grape tree for shade. You can rent kitesurfing equipment or catch a bite to eat at one of two restaurants. It's not flashy, touristy, or the most luxurious thing to do, but it is quiet and relaxing and our kids loved playing in the sand. Hey, and it's free. They really love going there in the afternoons when the planes fly right over the beach so close. Wow!
