just returned on feb 13th. what an amazing place . everything was great from hotel service food staff and weather. the food here was outstanding better than any 5 stars that we have been too. the staff are great and go out of there way to make your vacation great. alacartes where very good as well as buffet. never had to eat same thing the whole week lots of variety. we are thankful for the breeze always there as it was intensive heat from the sun. a special thanks to Pearl our cleaning lady and Mary who cooked my eggs every morning and Mitch at adult bar for the great drinks. thanks to everyone for your friendliness and smiles. we will be back next year and try for 2 weeks next year. we did the land and sea excursion was fantastic. make sure you swing by to see the donkeys. I went and fed them apples every morning so please do the same. thanks again for fantastic time. see you soon from Ottawa Canada.

Room Tip: rooms on 3rd and 4th floors have great view of ocean we were on harmony side 3rd floor.

We stayed 8 days and attended a wedding at the Resort. It is a moderate size resort with 4 pools and a great water slide and a very nice manicured beach. They have an adults side and a family side, but nothing inappropriate goes on, on the adult side, just no children. They have 2 outdoor stages for entertainment and a disco upstairs for the later crowd. It is 5 minutes to the airport instead of 50 minutes on poor roads as other resorts are. Lots of food choices in 5 restaurants. The rooms are very clean and you will get flower petals laid out on your bed each day. Everyone working there is very friendly and helpful. Oh and since it is all inclusive take some hangover medication. A very nice introduction to the Carribean for us.

Room Tip: There shouldn't be a bad room in the place. A tip? Always take ear plugs to ANY resort. People a...

Having not long returned from a 10-day getaway to celebrate my mum's 50th birthday and my parents' renewal of vows, I had to write a review! What a beautiful and fabulous place. Rooms are relatively basic (as we've found all over the Caribbean) and very clean, with soft white towels replaced every day, big comfy beds, tea/coffee making facilities, and a flat-screen TV. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby, and available in your room at an additional charge. The food was delicious and varied - we ate in all 4 restaurants, including the main buffet, and were big fans of Capri (Italian) and Calabash (Creole).

On to the staff... What a fun-loving, genuine bunch! The management team should be proud as they are such an asset to the hotel and greatly contributed to our experience. Mary whipping up omelettes at breakfast, Tara, Seevee and Monty in the poolside grill on burgers, wraps, etc., Deaon the chef and the waiting staff, including Andrea, Tyler, and Etto, to name but a few! Then in the pool bar we had Stephanie, Kay, Kerdy, Corry, TC and Skeete, keeping our glasses topped up, as well as singing and dancing with smiles on their faces. They sure know how to make a mean Dirty Banana with a rum float! Lost a few hours on the mangoberry margaritas, too...

The entertainment was good. The SuperBowl evening was big fun, especially with so many American guests to share the experience with. At the Manager's cocktail party, my dad won $100 as well as some earrings from Diamonds International, and the following week won a goodie bag including yet more champagne! The hotel also held a rubber duck race on the lazy river every Wednesday, and for $20 per duck you were in with a chance of winning some prizes! We didn't win but all of the money goes to a local charity supported by the hotel, so it's for a good cause.
The only complaint we had was that the karaoke finished so early! We were having such a hilarious evening!

We could always easily get a sun lounger. We only went to the adult pool once as we found it was too quiet for us, but the option was always there. The hotel is on the Atlantic side which meant that there was always a breeze but if I'm being completely honest, it was welcome; the breeze took the edge off of the heat and stopped you from sweating.

I would 100% recommend this hotel and am already looking to go back very soon!

We just returned from a wonderful week vacation at the Coconut Bay Resort on the southern tip of St. Lucia. The staff and everyone else we met both at the resort and on the island were as nice and friendly as they could be. The resort had much to keep us occupied, and although it was nearly full it never felt crowded. Because of its location, it is necessarily all inclusive, but offered excellent specialty restaurants - as well as a superb buffet - so that we never got tired of the menu offerings. This resort is located on the Atlantic side, so the beach was a little choppy and not the tranquil Caribbean that some people may crave, but we were happy with it. We did take a couple of trips, one to the Rain Forest (it rained) which we arranged through the hotel, and another excellent trip to see the Volcano/Botanical Garden/Sugar Beach which we arranged through Edmonds Tours, located right on the beach in front of the resort. What we liked about Edmonds is that we could tailor our trip exactly the way we wanted, plus it was less expensive than the hotel and also they would accept just the two of us (most of the hotel tours require at least 4 people). We were travelling just as a couple (both newly retired), but there were groups of all kinds, from wedding parties (we saw two while we were there) to young families (we noticed that the staff is EXCELLENT with children) to college reunions to seniors like us. If I went back, I would definitely take a day to go to the north of the Island, but I don't think I would stay there because I feel it is probably too commercial. Again, thank you to the staff at Coconut Bay for our wonderful visit.

Room Tip: They have an adults only side (Harmony) and a 'Splash' side where families with children sta...

Just back from a one week stay at Coconut Bay - TWO THUMBS UP! What a great spot, it's great value for your travel dollar! We can't say enough about the resort and the people of St. Lucia. Staff at Coconut Bay went above and beyond to exceed our expectations, the pools, restaurants, food, drink & facilities were all excellent, plenty of entertainment and fun filled 'theme' nights. We also loved the fact you can easily leave the resort and explore the beautiful island - always feeling safe and welcomed. A short 3 minute drive from the airport, the resort is very secluded, it is the only resort on the southern end of the island. Our six year old loved the Kids Camp and the water slides. The resort is well laid out, not too big and easy to get around, its great with adults only on one side and families on the other. There is always a nice cool breeze to keep you comfortable & not too hot. If you are a real beach lover, there may be better spots on the island, it is on the Atlantic side, the ocean is generally pretty rough. However lots of windsurfing and its great for that! If you're like most Canadians and thinking Cuba, Dominican or Mexico - we would highly recommend Coconut Bay and the island of St. Lucia. Special thanks to Katlyn and Lenitta on the front desk. Etto and Tyler in the dining room and Dillan at the pool bar. All were exceptionally nice and helpful to us during our stay. This is a hidden gem in the Caribbean, well worth a visit.

Had another wonderful vacation here. Management, staff and rooms are great. Everyone smiles and all are pleasant. The food has always been good, but recent change to "Chef P" for dining raises experience to excellent. Great place to go for kite boarding as winds are constant during the season (check weather dates as this does change). The staff down at the "surf shack" need mentioning... Bruno, Marco, Pedro, Diogo and Luis all were constantly helpful. Marco was our "go to" lesson guy this trip and was very professional. The guys giving lessons are all good, but he was really great! This was our 5th trip to this location and we can't say enough about it. They have a spa so that's good, too. The location is not far from the airport (flights are only occasional in the pm) so don't have to drive hours to make home flights. Some of the rooms are being upgraded but most are already finished. Check out their website for pictures.

Room Tip: Higher floors are a little bit more expensive but well worth the extra as the views are exceptional...

Absolutely fantastic hotel, friendly and helpful staff who made our holiday very special. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely ladies at reception especially Emily and Lennitta. A big thank you to a very funny guy who is great to be around, Linus at the beach who spent time ensuring our Kayaking experience was fun. The food here was wonderful every day and a big high five to Dione the chef. Thanks to Valencia for keeping our room clean every day, to Wade and Da joker for the banter and keeping our cocktails topped up.
We would definitely recommend this hotel, we couldn't fault it and will hopefully return again soon.
