Every aspect of this two week holiday was amazing, a very well run hotel with fantastic food and attentive staff. It started with a very short trip from the airport with a warm welcome with a rum punch on arrival. We stayed in the splash side and the room was basic but was good to have american cable TV. Food, the main buffet restaurant had lots of choice and the food was beautiful, we enjoyed Calabash (Caribbean restaurant)on my partners birthday the team decorated our table and bought us a birthday cake out and sang happy birthday. Capri (Italian) and Silk (Asian) were both amazing and the quality of food and the service was fantastic.
The bar staff especially Mitch, Nax, Daniel and Jade were great and Etto, Tyler and Janette in the restaurants gave us wonderful hospitality and they really cared which was lovely.
We went on the land and sea tour which was a wonderful memorable day and we had the chance to see all of the island, we also went horse riding on the beach on my partners birthday which was amazing.
All in all a wonderful holiday and would not hesitate to book this resort again. Oh and the weather was brilliant too (Late May early June)

Me and my boyfriend travelled to St Lucia last November for 2 weeks staying at Coconut Bay Resort. We had amazing time and would definately return to that hotel. The staff couldnt do much more for you, the food is amamzing and overall just a lovely place. The only one complaint i would give is if you like to sunbathe on the beach then there isnt a massive area to do this.

We were travelling with another couple who also had there 2 year old daughter with them, from a paretnts point of view they also had a brillaint 2 weeks.

Free Wifi in the hotel Lobby.

The rooms were dated but fine as everything else at the hotel made up for that. We had a room on the ground floor and was lovely to sit out on the patio area of an evening and take in the nighttime views.

I would definately reccomend this hotel especially to families.

Got back a couple of days ago from a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at Coconut Bay. Having read some iffy reviews we felt a little wary but the hotel exceeded expectations. The food was delicious, my husband particularly wanted me to mention Mary at the omelette bar, the crepe lady Cyrena and Elisha. Every effort was made by all the staff to be friendly and amenable. All the entertainment crew were fabulous, especially Samanfer, Skyler, Charmz, Joel and Leary.
My daughter made some nice friends in the waiting staff Tyler, Neige and Jonnelle.
Linus at the surf shack was very helpful, lovely and friendly, the children (18 and 21) enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding. The beach was cleared of seagrass everyday and was a pleasure to walk along and sunbathe on.
The bars were always fun because of the winning personalities of the bartenders, TC, Kay, Princess, Dillon and Corry at the Harmony bar
We would recommend this resort to anyone and look forward to returning one day soon.

Room Tip: We had a premium ocean view hotel, spacious and clean. The Harmony side is definitely quieter than S...

If you want to experience the real St Lucia this resort is not for you, but if you want a place with a nice staff that isn't too different from the states, then you would fit right in. If you are more adventurous, then you may want to look at renting a house or apartment close to one of the great beaches and steer clear of the resorts. We have nothing but great things to say about the staff as they were all great fun and went out of their way to improve our stay. The entertainment staff was great; when I told them that we were very disappointed about not have real Caribbean food and music at the resort they went out of their way to make it fun for us: Thank you Samanfer, Marissa, Jamara, Vernon, Charma, Skyla and Joel you guys are the best. The room was nice with king bed for the parents and trundle bed for 2 kids, the best part was that it was not a long drive from the Airport. The sailing and snorkeling with Mystic man was excellent the guys were great they even let me teach my kids how to sail. The drinks and bartenders were great at the resort: TC, Kay, Princess and Jimmy much love. The buffet food was ok but it was for people that cannot leave Americana behind. They even had catfish (it was like being in France and serving Mad Dog 20/20 for wine). Why come to St Lucia for this food; we could have stayed in Florida and saved on the airfare? The music was also very American music; I was told I had to request to get West Indian music. One evening we got a baby sitter and my wife and I went to the Peter John night club hoping to have an evening of Caribbean music and dancing; boy was that a bust. Dona the bartender was great and helped to get some Caribbean music for us, but it seemed a struggle to have anything truly Caribbean at the resort. The Monday we were there was Caribbean night that was a very nice evening and lots of fun with a great show. Thumbs up to all the great performers, we really appreciated all you put into the show. We wished more of the nighttime activities could have been more Caribbean oriented. Since we were on vacation and many of the families there were with their kids it would have been nice to have some later night activities to which the kids were welcome. For instance they had a chocolate indulgence night starting at 10pm, but we couldn't let the kids participate. The tribute to the stars was a nice evening but Saturday night Country Western??? Again, we would stay in the states and just drive a few miles to find Country Western music. We would definitely recommend more Latin/Caribbean flare in the entertainment and activities. Have a salsa/reggae night at the Blue bar and you could even do some fun games where it can be kids and adults having fun together. Besides the tours, they do not promote anything local. Carnival started on Sunday when we were there, but wasn't advertised at all in the hotel, but the start of the carnival was right outside the resort. We finally asked the right questions and found Dennery a small fishing village 20-30 minutes ride from the Hotel which had a Saturday night fish fry. We had a great time the kids loved it and we finally got to have real St Lucian food and music. My son loved going to Coco Land and wanted to go every day; thank you to the great ladies for taking such good care of the kids! The Coco grill was nice and the people that were there were very friendly always smiling especially Tara (thanks for the local fruits and great fun) and Curtly the Pizza man.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are easier to access, but may be a little noisy close to the main building

Dear Djeanbap....Thank you for your stay and your comments...we truly appreciate all of our guests feedback...As you mention the staff really go out of their way to wow our guests and we are glad you felt that. Your comments on the Caribbean aspect of food and entertainment are taken...it is a balancing act to satisfy the different demographics from age 2 to 92 from Canada, USA and the UK....we try to mix everything up for all...the steel pan and authentic Lucian bands we have in the lobby are balanced out with popular music....you mentioned Country and Western music being out of place...believe it or not, Country music is as much a St Lucian culture as reggae or Soca...every single young adult can square dance and line dance from the time they were small...I realize that it seems odd but it is indeed their culture....the food is tougher...true Lucian food is food that our guests would not find appealing in itself; Dasheen and root vegetables....stewed chicken feet etc...so we do a Creole Fusion in some of our restaurants as well as feature a lot of Coconut and banana based recipes which are indigenous to the island...

Thank you for all your comments..they can only make us better

Cheers
Mark

My family of three had a really good time this past week at Coconut Bay in St. Lucia. We were there with some family friends and enjoyed some much needed R&R. We spent a lot of time by the pool and beach, while the kids spent hours enjoying the pools, lazy river, water slides and kids swim up bar. The breeze off of the Atlantic was amazing and made it very comfortable the entire time we were there, but you have to be careful b/c you can sunburn easily without feeling it until later in the evening b/c the breeze is so nice. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. We loved the open lobby, with the cool breeze coming through while we enjoyed a pre or post dinner cocktail and the free internet.
The food was good for an all-inclusive resort, but nothing is going to wow you. The lamb chops at Calabash were the best meal we had, and the outside dining at Capri was nice. Silk wasn’t bad, and the kids enjoyed it, but it wasn’t anything to mention. The Dinner Buffet was OK, but had plenty to choose from. There are two outdoor pool parties, one on Saturday and one on Tuesday. We really dropped the ball by hitting the Saturday pool party and skipping the Tuesday party. Saturday night was BBQ night with Country and Western entertainment. If you’re coming from the US, you can skip this night. We left Nashville to see Country and Western music and eat mediocre BBQ. Tuesday night was Caribbean night, and had nice island music with great Jerk Chicken and Pork, but we had reservations for Calabash that night and we were too miserably full to do anything more than just sample the Jerk. Knowing the schedule ahead of time would’ve been nice, but it was our fault for not asking.
We took the Full Day Land and Sea excursion, and had a great time, but wish we would’ve just done the half day. We took a 10 minute shuttle to the catamaran, and the crew of the Majesty took great care of us. The ocean was so blue and smooth on the Caribbean side, and the trip around to the Pitons was amazing. We stopped right in between the Pitons at Sugary Beach to snorkel and it was perfect. We re-boarded, sailed past Soufriere and snorkeled again at Asne Chasanet resort, which looked really nice. Then they dropped us off at Soufriere and we jumped in a shuttle for the rest of our day. We wish we would’ve just shuttled on back to the resort. The lunch location had a great view of the city, and the food wasn’t bad, just nothing special. Then we re-boarded and headed to the Botanical Gardens. They were beautiful and the guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining (if just a little intense), but it was a bit much after being out in the sun all morning, and there is no ocean breeze to help out with the heat. Then it’s off to the volcano and mud bath. Again, this wasn’t bad, just too much after the long morning. Also, at every stop, some of the local vendors tried to sell the same wares over and over again. I know this is how they make their living, but you can only buy so many necklaces and they’ve learned not to take no for an answer.
The rooms aren’t anything special, but I have zero complaints. The beds and comfortable pillows did the trick and we didn’t spend much time there other than to sleep. The donkeys could wake you up in the middle of the night, but after a long day I didn’t have any trouble falling back asleep.
The long beach was great, you could walk up and down the beach at your leisure without running into anyone. The ocean was a little rough and there was some seaweed, but the water felt great and grounds crew did a great job cleaning up the seaweed several times a day. The water sports team was very nice, and the Kite boarding looked awesome, but we weren’t up to it.
We will definitely go back to St. Lucia, and we’d consider hitting Coconut Bay again for half a week (due to it’s proximity to the airport), and it another resort on the Caribbean side of the island.

The location could not have been better; 5 minutes from the airport. Friendly staff greeted us with Rum punch on arrival and drinks for the kids. Check-in was friendly and fast; less than 10 minutes. We were in a premier ocean front room with a king bed and twin trundle bed. The kids loved it! The room was nicely decorated, plenty of closet/drawer space and clean! I am very picky on cleanliness; thank you Valencia! The food was fantastic and the drinks were flowing! I must say Emee makes the best French toast ever!! Kay, TC, Dillon, Morgan and Princess not only served phenomenal drinks but did it in a very fun and entertaining way! The kids loved the lazy river and slides! They would have been content to never leave the resort. We did a 1/2 day jeep tour to Soufriere. Loyd was our tour guide. He was informative and funny! The tour included the drive through volcano, mud baths, botanical gardens and local stops. The kids enjoyed the openness of the jeep; doubt the experience would have been as fun in a "bus". We also enjoyed the catamaran/snorkel tour at the Pitons! Not the nicest place we have stayed but definitely the most enjoyable! And we could not beat the price!

Room Tip: 3rd/4th floor for ocean view.
