I stayed a total of 7 days at Coconut Bay, with six girlfriends . It was one of my most relaxing vacations ever.
It is a great property with plenty to do for everyone. Food was good , but be sure to make reservations early for the restaurants to avoid disappointment.
Customer Service was excellent and everyone greeted you with a welcome smile. The staff were the friendliest I have ever encountered. Rooms were clean .
Entertainment is different every night, the best part is that all the entertainers are employees at the property and do other jobs during the day.Tour desk and Spa were very good . Michi was great and so knowledgeable.Best was the early morning Yoga sessions with Vernon. Also loved the Aqua Fitness class.
Will definitely return.

Room Tip: All rooms are Oceanview but loved staying on the Harmony (adult side) we were on the third floor.Gre...

My husband and I enjoyed everything Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa had to offer! When you first arrive the friendly staff greet you with a pink rum punch, which immediately gets you in the vacation mood. I remember Daniel handing me the drink with a big smile as he took our bags while we checked in. All the staff from the time we arrived to the time we left always had a smile and made sure we had everything that we needed. Eric checked us in and was very patient and friendly with us. He suggested to make reservations for the restaurants sooner than later and so we did. If you plan on eating at one of their restaurants men need to wear pants so don't forget a pair of jeans in your suitcase!

We enjoyed the activities that were offered throughout our week stay. There is always something you can do during the day and night. I participated in yoga and aquatic fitness class given by Vernon who is an expert at what he does. The yoga is at 7:30 in the morning and is a refreshing way to start your day. It takes place under the gazebo right on the coast with the ocean waves and small islands as your background. We also participated in volleyball, water polo and the rubber duck race!During volleyball Samanfer played with us and got upset each time we scored on her team! She kept the game interesting! Our friends, a family of 4, won first place, Duck #31! Coconut Bay holds a duck race, $20 per duck, to donate to pediatric ward of the St. Jude Hospital in St. Lucia. They received $250 in resort credit along with a romantic dinner for two. Some night entertainment included kareoke, night club, Carnival show, Tribute to the Stars show and the St. Lucian Hoe Down. Their staff are so talented that some of them are involved in these performances!

We met friendly staff members throughout the resort. Wade knew our drinks by our second day there. Franklin was very knowledgeable at the front desk and he taught us a mini lesson on St. Lucia history including two St. Lucian Nobel Laureates! Da Joker kept us entertained at the bar. Nissa was very pleasant during the Thursday Couples Dinner on the Harmony side as well as at Capri Italian Cuisine. Stephanie, Morgan, and TC kept us entertained at the pool side bar with flip cup! They are good! They beat us so many times! They have a fun drink menu, on the rocks and blended option. I enjoyed the Dirty Banana, very smooth coconut milky taste.

There is always food. We were told if you go hungry it is your own fault, which is absolutely true! Bites Beach Grill is open until 11AM to 1AM in the morning. So all your afternoon or late night snack cravings will be solved. The buffet is open from 7:00 to 10:00 AM. And if you wake up after that and you are an adult you may be served Harmony sit-down breakfast until 11:00 AM. There are three restaurants like I mentioned above: Calabash (Caribbean), Capri (Italian), Silk (Asian). We had great experiences at all three restaurants! Calabash has this amazing seafood chowder that you must try! Capri has a pretty cool antipasto bar in the middle of the restaurant that you can snack off of! And Silk had great appetizers along with a sizzling fish dish that was delicious!

During our stay we were lucky enough to witness a leatherback sea turtle bury her eggs on shore and return back to the ocean. Coconut Bay staff were very protective of the turtle and her eggs and made sure mother nature was not disrupted by anyone. They built a barrier around her eggs.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at Coconut Bay Resort and Spa! We would highly recommend it to anyone and definitely return! Thank you for your hospitality. Room service staff was excellent. Your entire staff is awesome! The amazing thing at Coconut Bay was that all staff were friendly whether they were a gardener, maintenance, bartender, or host. Everyone greeted you with a smile and we felt so welcomed! Thank you for unforgettable experience!

Room Tip: Ocean view is amazing on Harmony side.

My family and I spent a wonderful week at Coconut Bay Beach Resort and truly consider it one of our favourite visits to a Caribbean island. Here are some positive points I would like to share:

Resort Layout. The resort is nicely laid out. Everything is easy to get to. All rooms have easy access to all the restaurants, pools and beach. This is not a mega-resort that requires you to take a shuttle to anything. Everything was close enough for us to set up in one place and wander around to do it all. What is also great is the proximity to the airport. It took all of 6 minutes to get from the airport to the resort.

Crowds. There are no crowds. There is no need to wake up at 5am to hold chairs. There are plenty to go around. There are enough trees to give shade if that's what you look for. There are not many parasols but that has to do with the constant breeze. The breeze that comes in just feels wonderful and I was happy to not have parasols and use the trees instead.

Food. The food was excellent. We really enjoyed the buffet as there were many stations that you had food that was made for you on the spot. Breakfast highlights include freshly made smoothies and crepes made as you like. The a la carte restaurants were good. We only tried two of them (Silk - Asian, Calabash - Creole) and had no trouble getting reservations. The SILK restaurant was our favourite and we booked a second night. Twice in the week there were outdoor barbecues that were excellent. These were easily my favourite meals. Desserts were excellent as was the bread. All bread is baked on premises and I couldn't get enough of the raisin bread.

Amenities and Activities. There is plenty to do and enjoy at the resort. The pools are great. My daughters and I really enjoyed the water slides. There are only 2 but they are plenty fun and you never have to wait long to use them. The lazy river is also a fun way to spend some time. The "Surf Shack" is where you get the sea kayaks, snorkeling gear and Stand Up Paddle (SUP). The water here is choppy due to the wind but there weren't big waves while we were there. I had fun participating at a few Paintball matches and had a lot of fun with the staff and people there. This was the only paid extra I participated in.

WIFI. Wifi worked well in the lobby. The closer you sat to the front desk, the better the reception. I did pay for in-room wifi as I needed to login to work one evening and the rate is $10/day or $40/week. You can only connect one device to the in-room wifi so if you want to to be on a tablet and an ipod at the same time you can't. I think think this is going to far. I would suggest that they allow 3 devices per room if you pay for the in-room wifi.

Staff. I left the best for last. The people are absolutely wonderful. After a week we got to know the people we dealt with frequently. Emee was the lady who took care of our french toast in the morning. Vernon was a great yoga and aqua fitness instructor. Devon was a truly fun and entertaining paintball animator.

We always like to try different places but this is one we would be very keen on coming back to.

Arrived on the 4th July at 2pm and the Reception was quick at getting us into our room. Standard harmony room had great sea view, good queen sized bed and plenty of storage. Downside was that bathroom was a bit tired looking but had the obligatory toiletries and fresh towels supplied every day. Room supplied iron board/iron, safe, 32" flatscreen tv, and fridge filled with water and soft drinks and beer. The pool areas were clean, but we preferred the adult only section which was nice and quiet(Bar does not open till 11am but you are free to walk down to lounge area for early morning refreshments/alcohol). Sunbeds were always available but because of the steady breeze off the Atlantic(Sun will still burn!), parasols were limited. There were shaded areas under the coconut palms and at the pool.Beach towels were in plentiful supply. The beach was long and narrow in bits but kept cleaned of seagrass regularly and the Atlantic seawater was warm.
Made reservations at Calabash and Silks. Choice of 4 starters/6 mains and 4deserts. Well presented in lowlight ambience. Main restaurant provided a good selection of beef, chicken, pork, local fish, pasta, pizza, veg and rice at lunch and in the evening, with the ocassional theme night. Cooking stations at breakfast provided great omelettes, french toast, crepes and there was even a smoothies station. Overall the quality of food and drink was great. The beach grill was excellent for having a snack or even a light lunch serving chicken wings, pizza (freshly made), hotdogs and burgars but it got busy between 1-2pm.
Only had one small problem with service but was quickly rectified by Chris, one of the managers, who went above and beyond to happily resolve it.
Booked a short jeep safari across from hotel reception to see the key sites of St Lucia. Fantastic and informative 6 hour trip and a great laugh in the mudbaths. (take a change of swimwear and a towel).
All Staff and management were pleasant and friendly at all times. It helps if you engage them first as some are a bit shy and reticent. (Senior management scrutinize every review and thats why staff are named as they get marked accordingly.)
Overall a great holiday and would recommend this hotel for families and couples.

Large hotel with good size pools and plenty of loungers. Very close to the airport which is an advantage after a long flight from UK, no disturbance from planes.
Food was very good - extensive choice and good variety. Entertainment was fun and aimed too cover all the different age groups. On a couple of occasions there seemed to be guests on a *day pass* could get a bit rowdy and take over pool bar area.
Rooms basic, especially bathrooms but fine for a weeks stay.
Highly visible management presence, which ensures good level of service from staff and opportunities to put right any problems, while you are staying there.
Fantastic trip snorkelling, visiting the tropical garden and volcano.
Family friendly atmosphere with area for teenagers to play pool, they also enjoyed the organised water polo, volleyball etc.

Room Tip: Harmony highest floor if with family.

We just returned from what can only be described as an amazing vacation at Coconut Bay Resort and my husband, kids and i enjoyed every moment. The staff must be complimented, they are extremely dedicated, hardworking and always pleasant. It was difficult to find a member of staff who was not helpful. The property itself is fantastic, the pool areas were always clean and there were lots of activities for the kids to participate in. The restaurants served a variety of delicious foods and there were lots to choose from and with no restrictions. Laundry service was available and the spa was my personal retreat. We LOVED this resort, we have been to St. Lucia before and to other Caribbean islands but Coconut Bay tops it all! Can't wait to return and kudos to the staff for a wonderful stay!

Room Tip: Rooms on the Splash side are suitable for families
