We stayed here for 3 nights in Haven and loved the garden setting and all the wooden touches in the cabins. The garden lights up at night and feels pretty tropical. Nice and quiet and you feel secluded in the cabins. haven uses the shared bathroom which was small but clean and we never had to wait. Good facilities in the communal kitchen and lovely feel to this area in the centre of the bush. Easy walk to Driving Creek cafe which is fab.

This is the second time we have stayed at hush, this time staying in hush house rather than one of the cabins.

We arrived to a very warm, tastefully decorated and very welcoming open plan house. Our friend walked around and said "how did you find this place?" surprised at the hidden treasure that we'd checked into. Other friends commented on how warm the house was and the great layout with all of the mod cons needed.

If you're visiting from outside of New Zealand and would like to sample a bach holiday that New Zealanders would typically enjoy - this is definitely the one for you! It's so much better than staying in yet another soulless hotel.

I highly recommend getting a group of friends together and booking hush house. From the moment of arriving and choosing the bedroom you want - you'll find you instantly unwind and feel at peace.

Jase and Liz thanks again for a brilliant weekend. We all had a ball!

Pleased to hear you love Hush House as much as we do. It has such a rich history of past owners and if walls could talk it would only have happy stories to tell we believe. Great recommendation to book the house as a group, lots of guests add some studio cabins too and have all of Hush exclusively. Liz.

HUSH was the most welcoming and relaxing accommodation I stayed in NZ, pure luxury in nature! Ahhh the greenery around the place is amazing, what the treat even for one night! These wooden luxury cabins are amazing!!! My husband and I stayed in Happiness studio (en-suite, first one by the car park). Spacious, luxurious, nice and clean with everything you need! Even an umbrella in the room, so thoughtful! Lovely communal space too! Hush owners are very accommodating and very kind people, they make sure you are looked after well. Thank you for the bottle of champagne and some chocolates for our wedding anniversary at our arrival! How sweet :). Liz, you make everything so pretty in Hush!! We really needed that bit of luxury after a challenging year... Well done, awesome business. Cannot wait to be back later this year :). This place is opposite Driving Creek Railway which is a must if you are staying in Coromandel Town! The Pepper Tree is a fabulous place to eat out, love it! All these 3 places are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Enjoy a magnificent Coromandel in style! :)

Room Tip: all rooms are great.

friendly peaceful and hidden away
Well situated to both the number one cafe in coromandel and the number one attraction.
The business offers a great range of accommodation options, so there WILL BE something to suit.

We stayed for one night at hush as a treat during our visit to the coromandel. We were very happy with our choice. The location is great and there is a brilliant cafe just down the road. The owners are lovely and keen to make sure you have a great stay. We stayed in hush petite which is so cute and thoughtfully put together. We loved the little kitchen and books available in the room. The only downside with that room is that it is connected to hush house. I imagine this would normally be fine but on the night we stayed there were some very noisy kids running around inside! Thankfully they must have been asleep by the time we got back from dinner so we were able to have a relaxing evening. There are a few other studios a few metres from the house that look amazing as well. Would definitely return.

We used Hush as our base for four days of walks and hikes throughout the Coromandel, and it was superb. Well situated: close enough to town for the necessities, and for a quick drive to the shore to catch a particularly superb sunset, but outside of the main area so VERY peaceful, and across the road from the quirky Driving Creek Railway and Pottery. Well designed: individual cabins and units, some with ensuites, beautifully arranged and built to be natural and yet have all mod cons, and a common alfresco gathering area with kitchen facilities and even an outdoor heater and bug zapper so your can gather over wine at the end of a day's hiking no matter what the weather! Well run: the owners clearly put love and care and meticulous attention to detail, and were very responsive to any request.

We had a great family weekend at Hush, staying in the Haven Studio. This studio was great, with our own private outdoor area where the kids played, and we sat and read. The location of Hush was great too ... with Driving Creek railway, and child friendly cafe across the road. The common areas were very clean and had everything we needed to make meals. We would certainly come stay at Hush again.
