We had a lovely stay at Mangrove Manor. Our hosts Anne and Peter made us very much at home. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My husband left a pair of shoes and Anne sent them on to us and would not take any money for postage. The rooms were clean, the bed comfy, breakfast delicious and plenty of it and the views from the garden lovely.
Situated just outside Coromandel town so handy for that area whether walking cycling or in a car.
Would definitely return and certainly would recommend.

I had great days in Mangrove Manor with wonderful hosts. They are helpful, warm, friendly and lovely. Coming by Ferry from Auckland I was picked up and dropped in Coromandel Town. They gave me a ride to town whenever I wished. Peter repaired the bike I hired. You soon can feel at home. The room and the bathroom are clean (garden room with a spacious private bathroom). You can use the large living room and the beautiful garden. You can stay for a longer time here.
It is the perfect place for exploring the northern part of Coromandel Peninsula, by car or by bicycle. There are walking tracks and walking ways nearby with great walks around Coromandel Town to Kauri forests, bushwalks with overwhelming views to the sea and the bays.
Great days in a wonderful place with wonderful hosts.

This is a great place for a stop over in the Coromandel Peninsular. Peter & Anne were extremely hospitable & the uncapped free wifi was a huge bonus. Breakfast was sumptuous, fresh fruit, home made bread, cooked platter to order & a mega selection of hot drinks & cereals. For one night the (ensuite - super shower) room was just fine but for longer stays it may feel a little compact &, because the day had been very warm, we needed to use the kindly provided fan all night

Arrived in a downpour to be warmly greeted by the hosts, along with a lovely cup of tea (great selection of different teas!) and homemade muffins. Lovely spacious room and en suite. Breakfast great, and when we left in the MONSOON like rain, the hosts gave my wife a coat to wear which was greatly appreciated!!
Would definitely recommend....

A wonderful start to our NZ holiday. Ann and Peter are lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome and at home. The B and B has a wonderful setting overlooking mangroves and the sea. A relaxing and beautiful place to stay.

We had a great 2 nights at Mangrove Manor good room with shared fridge, also with free WiFi.
We were stunned to learn that the large living room with large flat screen tv complete with Sky was OURS TO USE.
The beauty of this lovely b&b is the great outside with table and bbq for guests to use.
The owners are only too willing for you to self cater your evening meal even providing us with glasses for our wine with tea and coffee available from a coffee maker .
That alone really helped us to cater our evening meals . We had two meals outside in the large wonderful garden.
Really is a beautiful b&b with lovely breakfast, could not fault it.
It is also well placed just outside the Coromamdel town with its attractions like the fun quirky Diving creak railway
Wonderful walks round the sea and through the ancient Forrest with the Kuari trees
All in all a great

The Mangrove Manor sits near the edge of a beautifully alive mangrove. We fell asleep to the sound of birds singing their songs and woke in the morning to birds chirping away. It is peaceful and beautiful. The sunset from our room was gorgeous a real photo op! Anne and Peter went out of their way to text us early in the day to ask if they could make dinner reservations for us in town for New Year's Eve and make sure that we would have plenty of options to fill our car with gas on New Years Day. They are warm and friendly and the perfect hosts. The location is great, a mile from town. The house is beautiful, room super clean and comfortable with a great shower. Breakfast was wonderful, homemade bread, muffins, fresh fruit and full breakfast if you like. A very special place in Coromandel Town! Not to miss.
