Great spot to base yourself in this beautiful area

The family who runs the park are very friendly and so are the park guests

Great fish cleaning area

Only one negative , I'm over six foot and didn't fit under the shower head !!

Hi Paul,
Thank you for that!
The shower heads in the old showers was at 1.6, now they are on 1.85 and it is about as high you can go without making it impossible for kids to adjust....so it had to be a compromise, on the other hand you are always in the cleaner air up there so maybe don't need to wash your hair? ;-)
Cheers Thomas

Stayed for 2 nights intending to do a Snapper fishing trip. Unfortunately weather was not on our side. Johan was extremely helpful and kept us updated from the Charter company. About a half hour, but very winding road trip from Coromandel Town. Cabins extremely clean and comfortable, and the BBQ rotunda is a great place to get together for dinner. A family run business that has the personal touch.

My boyfriend and I came here over christmas, with a small tent and stayed for 1 week. Very nice relaxing place, not far from coromandel town.
Clean camping, lots of regular customer that involve you in a daily chat!
The office has few things to sell (wine, milk, biscuites, snacks...) coffe too; the kitchen very functional, they do taxi boat to the islands in front (which i highly recommend especially if you like fishing from the rocks).
The beach in front is not amazing to be in the coromandel but still very nice!
highly recommend this place for family too, it has also a very clean swimming pool!

We are keen fishers and always enjoy a coastal scene. Perfect with a charter vessel at your disposal at reasonable cost, fishing off the rocks with snapper and other species available, kayaking in a relatively sheltered area. Fish filleting area, barbecue and of course a clean fresh water pool available to use. We spent 8 fabulous nights in a 1 bedroom unit at a fraction of the cost of going to the Islands.

Cruised a small part of the North Island in a camper, got to Anglers Lodge second last day of trip. Sadly not sure if it was a good thing or bad!! If we had gone there first we would not have left and seen some other parts of the beautiful North Island! Johan and the rest of his family were extremely friendly and accommodating but the best part of the trip was definitely fishing with Chris. We are dedicated fisho's in Australia and he gave us his all to get us on the spot and the snapper biting! His friendly attitude and local knowledge went a long way as we had been on other charters down the east coast and most skippers would barely smile :-( If you love to fish this is the spot for you, and with Johan driving the tractor and dropping the boat in and picking you up later you don't even get your feet wet!! The waters on your door so any type of fishing is available. Next trip is a long stay with wall to wall fishing..... Can't wait!!!
