We were there on a Friday night when the bar downstairs was fairly busy. Having looked at the menu which was very inviting we decided to try the restaurant. Our main courses were excellent - the mussels was a large portion with a lovely sauce, and the hot stone seafood plate was amazing with mussels, scallops and prawns. We ordered one of the shared seafood platters for a starter - oysters, prawns, mussels and scallops all sounded very enticing, however when it came the whole lot was battered! When such great, fresh local seafood is available, battering it just seems a waste. Service was average - we were seated and our order was taken very quickly, however then waited more than 20 minutes for drinks to arrive. Food was equally slow to arrive and the whole experience took over 2 hours, when there were maybe 20 people in the restaurant in total. However our waitress was apologetic and the staff were friendly.
