Stayed here for one night. Clean room with all the basics but it could be improved if they were to spend a little money on the place! Carpet was threadbare around the door, 'white' towels were more of a grey colour and no longer soft, the lounge had one not very comfortable old sofa. Beds were comfortable though. Handy to fast-food outlets and supermarket, but on a noisy street. Very nice people who run the place; just a shame the room wasn't as nice as they were!!

A perfect nlittle country Motel, virtually in the heart of this little city on the coast of the Bay of plenty. It isn't the Hilton, but it is comfi, friendly, ...the shoe fits ... kind of a place. In our 3 1/2 weeks tour of the two islands, this little gem earned the distinction of being managed by the nicests hosts in NZ, followed by the Beachcomber in Orewa, just north of Auckland.
