Thanksgiving 2012 marked my fourth time staying at Al Benefizio with Francesca to visit her family, friends, and amazing agriturismo place. I gave up dropping on friends homes to eat turkey and fixings for a week learning more italian, picking olives from her trees and learning to extract olive oil - a personal experience I could have never had as a "tourist" staying elsewhere. My growing friendship with Francesca started in 2013 when I was invited to a scientific conference held at the Il Ciocco Hotel in Barga. A friend was joining me and we decided to instead stay at a nearby B&B - she found Al Benefizio where we stayed and have since been treated wonderfullly. First, Francesca has a degree in Art History from Florence University, speaks English and German and is surrounded by highly professional and knowledgeable friends and family - all who make a visit to her place a top-rated retreat for those looking for enlightening and lay-back personal tours of Tuscan history, art, science, vineyards, and gastronomy !!!
Francesca knowledge and network in the tourism industry of Italy is a huge plus!! There is not enough room here to describe all the reasons that keep me going back every year - and there is so much to learn from her and her homeland.More
