So we arrived at this hotel on 12th june. Very hot temperatures and quick and easy check in. Hotel is amazing to look at and is set across 4 levels with the top pool being quite quiet the next one down being where they have the slides and lazy river then the beach at the bottom. Not really sure what the person below is talking about re needles and nails sticking out as we experienced neither of these things. I would agree that there are alot of steps in this hotel so probably not ideal for elderly or people with prams however if u plan on just lazing around in the same place all day then its fine. I dont agree with anyone who slates the staff here. They are all very welcoming and will have a chat with you however you have to appreciate that there are alot of german, russian and ukranian people here who are very rude. Therefore if you speak to the staff first they will always converse back. The majority or guests here as above are german russian and ukranian and i have to say they have absolutely no manners at all. The kids run around in the restaurant, none of them queue up to get food amd think its acceptable to simply push in front they also have no sense of direction and just walk into you. They are also very greedy i.e the restaurant has 2 tables filled with fruit in the evening amd they pile up their plates with 20-30 chunks of watermelon. Some how the restaurant manages to cater for this though so never a shortage of food. My only recommendations for this hotel is for there to be a bar on each level as it does become a pain to have to go up and down just to get a drink.

The gym facilities at the hotel are brilliant plenty of modern machines and an indoor pool. To get to the gym you have to come out of the main entrance and walk left towards the next hotel theres a turning right next to this. You walk into a little shop through to the back which is the spa area

I dont think i would stay at this hotel again but not because of anything to do with the hotel. Simply because there is nothing to do outside of the hotel.

This hotel is solely a tui hotel, on arrival there was a massive queue at reception it took over an hour and a half to check in having travelled for over 6 hours with 2 tired hot children not impressed, only to be pulled forward from the back in front of 2 other couples and told "oh you didn't need to wait cause you've got children!" um an hour too late... to arrive to the lunch room for a snack was just that a snack not a lot of food left even though the restaurant had been kept open for the new arrivals.
The hotel room was not suitable for 2 young toddlers there was a main room with another room which could be partitioned of if requested really?? maybe suitable for young teenagers but not toddlers there beds were also of the floor but had they had fallen out of bed they would had fallen on to tile floors, so every night blankets had to be laid down to avoid this, informed reception weren't interested!
The house keeping was fine to start with but then after a couple of days there were 2 adults 2 children and we were given 3 bath towels and 1 face towel, previously 4 and 4 were provided... we had to go to the cleaners cupboard ourself and get towels as again told reception not interested, there was a smell of mould from the bed told reception housemaid come out changed sheets and bleached 3 slats under the bed to then be advised if the smell carries on you'll need a new mattress, the smell continued but never was a new mattress put on!, as well as the issues with the towels the bedding was not be changed frequently, every night we went to bed with sand in the bed! it turned into a joke in the end as the only way to get fresh sheets was to strip the bed yourself so the cleaner got the hint. There was one lovely cleaner who really paid attention to detail and gave you that 5 star quality just a shame she cleaned the room once.
The balcony was so so if you like bird poo, nothing to rave about the grounds were lovely well maintained and cared for.
The restaurant the main restaurant started of ok after week 1 had enough of the same meals everynight, the childrens menu was the same everynight, my children got to a point they didn't want dinner, the greek restaurant was a joke the food was not greek at all having travelled to Greece and cyprus alot over the last 20 years.
the service in the main restaurant was interesting the staff are more interested in putting food out then health and safety, many times i watched people drop food never once did i see it cleared up unless it was pointed out. kids running around was an issue the parents were no where to be seen as usual, the kids were causing water floods from water machine no one about to monitor. the were 4 occasions where i had gone to get deserts and there were flys in the food, advised member of management she was more interested in looking at herself in her mobile phone then doing anything about the contaminated food. put of wanting to eat fullstop. Got fed up with flys inside the restaurant and birds whilst trying to eat.
one asset for the hotel was Athina who did the crepe stall every day apart from friday lovely lady so sweet a massive asset to the company popular often had to queue for over 30 minutes for crepe but these were lovely...
Pool area was dangerous again kids running riot parents no where to be seen, my 2 often sat on the edge of the pool playing with the water as the pool was too cold to enter unless you enjoy a freezer dip. No soak away tiled area often water soaked left for someone to slip on. Kids pool was often full of adults not toddlers.
Beach area- my partner got a metal rod stuck in the bottom of his foot just as a result of walking to the sun bed, my daughter picked up a drug needle of the beech reported to reception they just threw in the bin made no comment. The beach although was lovely had my concerns having seen the needle. The wooden slats had nails sticking out of it which had caught mine and my sons toes, again no interest.
At time of leaving hotel there was an obvious drastic improvement being made at the hotel like non slip strips on stair well outside the shop, new parasol areas being put out as not enough sun loungers to go round especially at the weekend when the greeks had a day off, tile being fixed as had broken on main stairs.
Overall not suitable for parents with young family, or more mature people with walking difficulties because of the volume of stairs.
went to the tui rep to get exit time details and she asked how was your holiday i replied so so her response was immediately defensive and said if your holiday was only so so why have you not come to see me before now so i can do something about it.... Useless at the airport on departure she was there directing the queue/irratating the queue again very defensive as 2 checkouts open to check in all the monarch flight and paphos flight queued for over an hour i have to say if you travel to this hotel don't bother seeing her!

Would not come back to hotel......

No indoor swimming pool in operation had to go to the sister hotel, gym facilities consisted of 3 items !
The resort area itself is very low key and in need of a monetry boost not alot of things to do unless you get a hire car.
Unless your german/russian your children dont get a look in at the kids club, the staff didn't want to engage with the english.
Beach towels you have to change these yourself half way through your day????

Room Tip: Request to see the room first. Be aware of slammimg doors from your neighbours

Went here for two weeks 29 May to 12 June. The hotel and staff were very good. Rated it as poor because information in the First Choice brochure failed to mention the downsides to this hotel. The first complaint and most important was.the number of steps from the lobby right down to the beach. From our room to the lower pool area by the beach there were approx 86 steps. The biggest amount approx 51 were from the upper pool down to the next level. These are all very steep and not suitable for the elderly and people with walking, back or hip problems and also families with children in buggies, Two lifts, one either end of the hotel did not go beyond restaurant area - still had to master 51 steps. Second point is that there were so many children running riot. Playing chase in the restaurant dropping food all over the floor and making so much noise and apparently no control from the parents. I must state that the best behave were British children. The majority were German & Russian. Final comment is that very rarely did you get hot food - luke- warm at times. Would not recommend this as a quiet or adult holiday. Will not go back. Only bar open during daytime was pool bar so if you like a drink you have to master all the steps unless you stop by the beach pools - not good for any one with health problems. First Choice/Thomson need to look at their presentation for this hotel.

Room Tip: Must be fit and agile to cope with steps and not mind screaming noisy children. Access to rooms can...

Got back from a week in this wonderful hotel on 5th June 2014. I can't praise the staff or facilities enough. We arrived tired & hungry at 1415 (local time) after leaving home at 0400 (local time) we were greeted outside the hotel by the staff offering glasses of chilled orange juice, which went down a treat, we were welcomed & asked to relax & forget about our luggage & come on in to reception where our rooms would be allocated. There were 2 coach loads of passengers from the Monarch flight that had landed at 1215 (local time), so a lot of tired people. The staff urged us to relax as it was the start of our holiday & informed us that the restaurant would remain open to serve us lunch. We were allocated our rooms & asked to attach a sticker with our room number to our luggage & informed it would be delivered whilst we had lunch. Overall a very easy stress free arrival & check in & extremely welcoming. The restaurant was lovely offering a huge choice of hot & cold food. Fridges with half bottles of red, white & rose wine were there for us to help ourselves or bought to us by the lovely restaurant staff. Beer was on tap as well as a variety of fizzy soft drinks, water, tea & coffee.
The food was delicious, pasta dishes, a carvery meat, stews & casseroles, grilled fish & chicken or pork or liver etc. pizza, wonderful Greek salads & cheeses, various breads, the list is endless, also soups to start & various desserts, fresh fruit, cakes I could write pages, there was always a live cooking on a wok by the head chef every lunch time & evening. Breakfast was also lovely with fresh smoothies, cereals, fruit salads, cheeses, breads, toast, eggs scrambled, fried or omelettes, baked beans, bacon, sausages, etc etc etc. if there is any criticism it would be that perhaps they need to install a few more toasting machines as the queue to make toast was usually very long. At lunch times there was also a BBQ in the pool bar and afternoon snacks of cake & sandwiches & rolls were also served there. Also there were 2 a la carte restaurants, a Greek Taverna & an Asian restaurant, we tried both and again a very warm welcome & excellent food & service. This has to be booked the morning of the day before you want to eat there & there's bookings for 7pm 730 & 8 pm.
There was a children's club but as we went as a party of 4 Adults I cannot comment on a this facility.
The pools & views were fantastic & although the hotel seemed to fill up Friday to Monday with many families we managed to find a quiet spot to sunbathe & rest at one of the pools or on the beach. There were more than enough sun beds to go round and fixed straw parasols for shade.
We were lucky enough to have a garden room which was a small block of ground or 1st floor rooms. A huge 6ft bed with a single bed as well, & free air conditioning, a balcony with a sea view & a view of Zante, a fridge with 3 bottles of water & 2 bottles of wine on arrival, the water was replenished daily & you could replenish the wine yourself from the restaurant. A large TV, though we never watched it but I'm told there were English channels showing films. A free safety deposit box, mosquito repellent, sewing kit, shoe horn & toiletries. A hair dryer in the bathroom which was actually very powerful. A beautiful deep bath & a very powerful shower and extremely HOT running water at all times.
There was a daily maid service and the towels were regularly changed. There were free towels to use by the pool & beach that you could exchange every other day.
I cannot praise the thoughtfulness behind this hotel. You paid for your holiday & that was that, no extra for this or that. There was a small shop on site which was very reasonably priced selling toiletries, drinks, sweets, pool assessories, etc etc they also had a few daily newspapers delivered each day.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean & the staff so friendly & welcoming, they really made you feel special.
There is a dress code for the evening in the restaurants, men must wear long trousers & the staff did stop people in shorts & ask them to change or they wouldn't be admitted. I do just wish that there was a dress code for some of the women as well.

The bars were well stocked & cocktails made to order, again a minor criticism but sometimes you had to queue for a drink because both staff were busy mixing cocktails but the staff were very friendly & Nothing was too much trouble.

A suggestion I would make is maybe tea & coffee facilities in each room, but it really wasn't a big problem & I'm sure you could always take a travel kettle & take milk & tea or coffee & cups from the restaurant if you really can't function without a cup of tea in bed in the morning.

The hotel is situated on the Greek mainland & apart from a couple of hotels in the resort there really isn't much else. There is a nice walk about 15 mins across the headland or a bit longer by road, to a small village, a lovely walk in the afternoon with a friendly bar on the beach when you got there. If you walked the other direction there was miles & miles of empty golden sandy beaches with the other couple of hotels claiming a small part of the beach, but there was still miles of it with nothing on it.

I cannot fault this hotel everything was perfect & I will be returning one day.

Room Tip: Some guests did complain that the hotel rooms were located up about 60 steps with no lift access. Ou...

Good: great pools, lovely restaurant & cleaning staff, good food. Bad: Grecotel massively over-sell this hotel on their website, we were the first visitors of the season and they weren't ready for us.

Room Tip: Family rooms are great for a couple + two kids

We returned last night from a week at this lovely hotel and will certainly return next year.
The complex is massive, about 500 people there the same time as us, but kept absolutely spotless due to the supervision of the manager and hard work by the ladies. Guest relations lady, Anastasia is just lovely and cannot do enough to help make your holiday great - just ask and she will do her best! The restaurant is large; food plentiful and varied and again the staff work so hard against sometimes very bad mannered guests, which they take in their stride and answer with a smile! A great shame that parents do not supervise their children and allow them to use the place as another play area. No doubt when one gets hurt "It'll be the staff's fault". The managers do a great job - especially Georgios who is a delight - but there is a limit to what they can do! The pool bar is well run and Athina who cooks crepes every day along clearing the tables and chatting to all - again with a costant smile!
Our room - 423 - was large and well looked after by our lady who made patterns with our pyjama's every day - a real smile maker! The hot water was more than plentiful and the white bedding and towels were white - not grey!!
It was also nice to see the hotel manager and general manager every day doing their job and not hiding in the office - also a rarity!! Which is why the whole hotel is so well run.
Overall an excellent stay made so also by Julie the Thomson rep who does more than her best to make your holiday a memorable one. If you do have a problem then say so at the time - they can't help if they don't know!!

Room Tip: Can't say. Ours was ground floor and not at all noisy.

We are actually still here. Beautiful setting with breathtaking views. Pool complex is amazing with a variety of pools. Plenty of sun beds. There are ramps so stairs not such an issue as previous reviews made out. Family bungalows are dated but adequate. Although the shower needs attention as it sprays over the taps not the bath so it becomes a handheld shower. The wine is actually Ok. More attention is neefed with regards to replacing light bulbs in toilet areas and gas in drinks machines.

Now for the negatives :-
1) there is only one bar outside which means that regardless of the pool or beach location you have to go up and down steps. They really need a bar on each level and one on the beach.
2) there is a good choice of food in the buffet restaurant but it is very samey every day.
3) the food is never hot, just warm.
4) kids are allowed to run everywhere in the restaurant with no expectations on behaviour. Can only blame the parents!
5) you can only change your beach towels every 2nd day at one location between 10am-1pm.
6) there just aren't sufficient staff working in the bars and restaurant meaning long q's in the bar and tables not cleared promptly in the restaurant.
7) the advertised restaurants aren't open. We've been here 4 days with only the buffet restaurant open despite the brochure advertising at least 2 other restaurants.
8) archery is for over 16's which is excessive.
9) poor signage around the resort - still haven't found the indoor pool.

Despite this it's a great hotel but could be so much better. Go with the right expectations.
