We have used this site several times over the years as a stop over on various trips through france, we have always felt welcome (yes we are British) and have enjoyed staying there. the facilities are fine and so is the food, the lake is beautiful and the town not to close as to be noisy. In general if you want a nice, pleasant and tranquil stop not far from the autoroute you will struggle to find a better place. If you want a noisy piss up in a bar with no respect for other campers its is not for you. We will be returning later this year to the warm hospitality of Thierry and Christine.

we stayed in this campsite on our way back from southern France after a great two weeks away in the summer of 2013.

Unfortunately the owner doesn't like people making the slightest bit of noise past 22:00 and is very aggressive in terms of asking you to quieten down. For some reason he felt that a direct attack on myself and my family (2 children - 11 and 7) was the best form of putting his point across.

good location for a stop over, but to be honest......stay clear if you fancy a cold beer of a glass of wine after a 12hour journey from/ to England. Why do they offer a Bar facility with terrace, if they don't wont you sitting in there after 22:00?????

Will definitely not return next year, as per the other 15 or so people that were in the Bar at the time also felt this wasn't the right way. Customer Service = non existent!

Everyone beware... This site is appalling, the showers are filthy with mould all over the ceilings and the food is dreadful and far too overpriced. On our return journey from the Dordogne we used this place as a stop-over point to lay our heads down. While sitting on the terrace having a drink with our two friends and children, reminiscing the holiday we had just had in the Dordogne. The owner of the business stormed up to us without warning shouting at the top of his lungs telling us to leave. He was extremely aggressive and really upset our children. When we returned home we received an email from them saying we had over turned chairs & tables, stolen parasols and thrown beer cans in their hedges which is an absolute lie. They also refused to serve glasses to other English tourists... This place is awful, I will not be returning and advise others to steer clear too! In it just for the money with a complete disregard for customer service.

Room Tip: If you have small children try to get positioned away from the lake. There are no barriers to stop t...

Stayed for one night en route to the Dordogne. We didn’t book but as it was May and the weather had been poor there were a lot of empty pitches. We had a pitch next to the lake, so we had a lovely view when sitting in the caravan. The site is well situated near to the village which can be reached either by road or by walking round the lake first – either way it’s nice to have somewhere to walk to and stretch your legs. Super U not far from the site complete with fuel station.
The toilet/shower block was old but clean and the showers were roomy with hot water. No toilet seats, but there was toilet paper.
The only disappointment was the onsite restaurant – the “serve yourself” hors d’oeuvre was fine but the main course was overcooked and not particularly good. The worst meal we encountered in France – maybe we were unlucky. Overall though, a very pleasant site and we would return again.
