Nosara Beach Hostel
Reviewed 10 June 2012

The staff is great, they make you fell at home. There is a big kitchen with all the facilities for public use, coffee was always ready by 7a.m. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable and It's the best location for surfers since it is 2 min from the beach.
Not to mention the big garden with hammocks and sofas and plenty of bikes for rent!
This hostel is hard to top on charm and personality!

Nosara hostel is beautiful, 2 minutes walk from the giones beach and the waves, very clean and comfortable rooms, huge kitchen very clean and with everything you need, and a beautiful garden.
We stayed there for one week and had the most amazing time, the people working there and the owners are great people, helpful with everything we needed.
We checked all other places in Nosara and this is the best one !

pura vida !!!

This place is all about the pura vida life style. Had a great time while staying at the beach hostel. The staff is over the top friendly, helpful and while there, met some great travelers.
What was supposed to be a week in Guiones, turned into 2 1/2 months. It was just too nice to leave.
Located close to the beach(maybe 200 meters, tops). Very calm and quiet place. Spent a lot of my time reading on one of the hammocks or chairs.
Cant wait to return in Nov

Room Tip: Unless you are really fond of the surf board that you would like to bring with you, it is easier and...

I was in Costa Rica for the month of April, and spent my final 9 nights at the Nosara Beach Hostel. It was my first hostel experience, and I have to say it was great and now I'm spoiled. First of all, it's located only a few minutes walk from Playa Guiones, second of all, everyone is so friendly and helpful (from Andres, the owner, to Dinia and Sergio, who staff the place during the day and night), and finally, the place is spacious and open. I spent a lot of time on the side porch enjoying the comfy chairs, couches and hammocks. The kitchen is large and well-stocked, so you can totally save money by cooking every meal there if you want. The bed was actually more comforable than the one at the private casita I stayed in for 2 weeks! It's an easy walk into town for restaurants and shops, as well as to the Nosara Yoga Institute. They also offer bike rentals, another nice touch. If you've ever dreamed about heading to Costa Rica for surfing, yoga, or learning Spanish, put a stay at the Nosara Beach Hostel on your itinerary for sure.

This is a fabulous hostel. Located practically right next to Guiones beach. The staff is so friendly, they make you feel like family. As you walk in, D tells you to feel like you're at home, and a few minutes later you really do. The hostel is very spacious, its got a great kitchen and a HUGE living room area with couches and a big screen TV. There is a beautiful porch area with hammocks and a large garden. The dorm rooms are also a decent size and have 3 bunk beds, a nice shower and lockers. I totally recommend this place when staying in Nosara!

I really loved everything about this hostel. I felt like all the people there were like a family! We all shared stories and shared food and cooked together ate together and did things together and even when I wanted to do things alone they would all give me ideas of things to go do. The workers were very very pura vida and we got to know them and learn a little about the tico & tica culture by speaking with them. If you want real Pura Vida and not a cheap imitation then I highly recommend *Nosara Beach Hostel*!!!!!!
