Went to the Spa for my first ever massage/body work, didn't really know what to expect but was blown away by the expertise and knowledge of the masseuse. She was able to see the alignment of my body was off due to a recent accident and worked to loosen up the areas where my body was compensating for my injury. The following day I took a restorative yoga class to aid in the healing, it was exactly what I needed not a heavy work out more relaxation and breathing exercise in the beautiful loft of the rancho by the pool. I would definitely recommend any one in the area looking for quality massage therapy or an incredible yoga experience to visit the Living Hotel.

Good overall.

Would stay again.

No transport to Nosara Airport (they say they have it in booking.com)

Very nice pool and ambience.

Internet works ok (if not rain).

Sushi Restaurant in hotel is good but expensive.

5-10 min walk to beach. 15-20 minutes walk to Guiones main beach entrance.

If there try The Village up the road! Best smoothies and juices!

we stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. the pool and grounds are amazing, beautiful gardens) and it is very close to Guiones- just 5 min walk. the rooms are simple and very clean as well as the bathrooms. we loved hanging out on the hammock and enjoyed the yummy breakfasts too. the staff was great, very helpful and sweet. there was also a night guard so the place was very safe. the sushi restaurant is yummy too!

The Living Hotel was recommended to us and we were happy to find a nice and new room/hotel. The private rooms with bathroom have A/C, ceiling fan, a safe, some shelves, a clothes rail with hangars and a small fridge. On the little (private) terrace their is a sofa and a clothes line.
Breakfast is included in the price and is served in a communal area around a large table. There is a choice of fruit, eggs, toast, juice, tea and coffee.
The hotel provides free wi-fi. Wi-fi reception is best in the rancho (we didn't have good reception in our room).
It is about 10 minutes walk from the beach and 25-30 minutes walk from the shops and ATM in the "centre" of Playa Guiones (along dirt roads, like on most of the Nicoya Peninsula). Nosara town centre is about 3-4 km.
The pool is clean and big enough to swim in. Nice for a quick cool-down in the hot weather.
Throughout our stay we had a few ants in our room. One night it rained and apparently this made them come out of (or through?) the roof. We must have killed about 30-40 ants, as we weren't too keen of having them in our bed. We got a 10% discount for this night.
The one thing we missed in Playa Guiones is a laundry. The hotel did not offer a facility either.
We have stayed in other places on the Nicoya Peninsula (Playa Santa Teresa) with the same room standard/price level which were larger.
All in all we enjoyed our stay. This is probably one of the nicest places in Playa Guiones.

Living Hotel was recommended by a friend and met all our expectations for a beautiful and relaxing vacation! The rooms are spread out in a beautiful and well kept garden surrounding a great pool. The a/c and ceiling fan were great to have in the heat and small private sitting area outside the room with billowing white curtains added to the romantic feel of the place. We even had our own hammock and outdoor shower for rinsing off sand from visits to the beach.
The breakfast was simple but delicious - fruit salad, unlimited coffee (but only green tea), fried, scrambled or boiled eggs and toast around a large communal table. A great place to hear from other guests about various activities in Nosara or for just starting the day in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I also loved the on-site sushi cafe and the possibility of having a manicure/pedicure and massage. I have not stayed at any other hotel in Nosara, but this will be my first choice when I return!
