Dolce la Hulpe Brussels
Ranked #1 of 1 Hotels in La Hulpe
Reviewed 15 April 2012

Very large property in extensive woodland surrounds. Somewhat lacking in character as it is a converted corporate HQ and training centre. However the conference facilities were excellent and our 170 delegates were swallowed-up in the enormity of the meeting rooms. Easily has the space to accommodate several concurrent events. Guest bedrooms were large, comfortable and well appointed. Bathroom was too small compared to the overall bedroom size.

Stayed as part of a large group. This hotel really knows how to cater to corporate needs: fab meeting rooms, non stop tea and coffee stations with really lovely treats, great bedrooms( no tea and coffee facilities) great location, perfectly situated for on site team building. Restaurant food is first class.

Room Tip: Go for mid tier or above, some do not have baths

Stayed in this Hotel three times in March. First night in a deluxe room which was spacious and well appointed and very reasonable price. I returned two weeks later for two nights and was offered an upgrade for only ten Euros per night more. I dont choose this Hotel for its outward appearance. I think it was originally an office complex. However, its set in a wooded area and is half a mile from the road and the only noise detectable is from the bird song. The hotel is generally very spacious and the staff are respectful. No problem with car parking either. Plenty decent spaces available and it seems secure. However, I would recommend that you drop off at the hotel entrance before parking, otherwise, you will have a fair walk with your luggage. Although I got a very reasonable deal for the rooms, I thought that the breakfast price was expensive. I did not experience the Gym and pool which was available. I was able to leave the window open during the night as it was in March, but can't comment on mosquito invasion in the summer. The windows require a window lock on the ground floor for security. Could do with secondary restaurant for light meals. The memorable things about this hotel are good quality rooms and a good nights sleep.

Room Tip: Upgrades available at reasonable cost. Ground floor windows are large sliding and do not have restri...

Dear Ddi W

Thank you for your comment following your stay with us.

Please accept our apologies for the technical defects in the Wellness area during your stay. We indeed had a short outage of the Sauna and the Hammam that could unfortunately not be fixed by our technicians as a spare part had to be ordered.

I hope we will have the possibility to welcome you in the future to correct your impressions.

Very oleasant, attractive ploace. Really nice gym and grounds, Restaurant good with attentive service. Considering it is in the middle of a forest it would be nice to have screens on the windows so you could leave your windows open at night, but can't because of giant mosquitoes.

THE place to run a meeting/conference/workshop : dedicated staff, spacious & well-equipped meeting rooms & more than decent catering.
When staying overnight : spacious rooms with everything in/on it...and if time permits a spa and sports center.

If you want to celebrate a special event or birthday, this is the place. We spent the night in the Sequoia Suite, a beautifully designed suite with living/dining room and large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the shower with its multiple shower heads was a treat. We had a delicious dinner at Tree-O with lovely wines carefully selected for each plate. The next day, we had massages in the VIP room for 2! It was a great way to spend a night in Brussels. This hotel is surrounded by a beautiful forest and bikes and walking maps are available.
