“Nice (expensive) hotel to relax !”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

We booked 2 (connected) deluxe rooms and we had nice ones inside the main building of the hotel. Rooms are modern and classy. The hotel in general could use some renovation though. The bar/restaurant in the lobby is very expensive and it is stupid that you can not go there with your robe since this is mainly a spa hotel. We did not do any treatments or massages since it was super expensive. We did go to the spa which was average. The pool water was cold for me and the whole spa is small and crowded. We had breakfast and dinner buffets which were great. The breakfast one is amazing ! The hotel is calm and great for relaxation as it is surrounded by the gorgeous 'Bois de la cambre' forest greenery. We rented electric bikes from the hotel and did a tour in the premises which was really nice. Many elderly people but this was expected for this kind of hotels.

If, like me, you have been trying to find a Spa in Belgium that is on the same level as a top London hotel spa, then this is it.
The staff were all welcoming, friendly and very professional. I signed in at the Cinq Mondes desk, which is in the Spa boutique. Very nicely decorated. I was shown to the changing room, which in itself is a lovely room, and given a bath robe, slippers and the card to access my locker and the wellness facilities. The changing rooms are lovely. Large couches, floor to ceiling mirrors, separate changing cubicles if you would like, showers, toilet etc. On the sinks were a selection on Cinq Mondes beauty products. Hair dryers and scales available too. There was also a large shelf of fluffy white towels and I was told to help myself. Before my treatment I used the wet facilities. A few meters down the corridor and you arrive. A medium sized pool with one wall nothing but floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the garden... with lots of loungers around the pool. Tucked around the back of the pool is the sauna and hammam. The sauna is very big and has a window looking over the garden which is nice. There was also a bucket of water for the coals. The hammam is quite small but entirely adequate and has a cold tap hose for cooling off. There are 2 showers, both featuring a normal shower, waterfall and side shoots. Complimentary water is provided in the sauna/hammam area. To wait for my treatments I was taken to the waiting area. Very relaxing..comfy chairs, bubbly fountain, soothing music and complimentary water and tea. My treatment room was lovely and beautifully decorated. My treatments (balinese gommage and massage) were wonderful. The massage was exceptional. The lady who did my massage was wonderful (Gabrielle). Afterwards you can relax in the relaxation room on one of 4 beds and drink tea/water. No one hurried me out. I was welcome as long as I wanted. Overall, first class facilities and service. The only con is they don't offer any waxing or eyebrow shaping. But, would I recommend it? Yes!! Will I be back? Absolutely!!! I can't wait!

Half an hour drive from the Brussels center, La Hulpe is a nice modern (not from outside!) hotel offering good support and space for conferences and trainings as well as for sport and relax. Kind and helpful staff, however food is average given the price (especially catering). Rooms are small and clean, but if you expect to get things like shampoo, body lotion etc (again for the price you pay and also because it is just standard!), you will be disappointed. And for ladies, the hair drier is a nightmare, better take yours:). Overall very good for business, for vacation i think you can find better.

Nice, modern, clean, always smells good. Mass of people are showing up, having lot of trainings in the hotel. Where they need to change, progress is the food. If you don't like seafood, you'll be in trouble.

I loved this hotel. I thought the service was excellent. It was peaceful and relaxing. I liked the floor to ceiling windows and the views of the Forrest. A little far out of town if you are looking for hustle and bustle. Great food.

I was prepared to be disappointed, travel to Brussels from London then not even get to stay in the city...but I needn't have worried.

Dolce la Hulpe is a great design, lots of space both inside and out. Very tranquil location and the building take advantage of the light coming through the forest. Catering good, we arrived very late via Eurostar and the kitchen prepared a very substantial meal for us with no fuss.

The conference facilities are great, interesting food to graze on all day. If I get the chance to return soon I will be very happy to take the opportunity...

We had picked this hotel for a short family get away, to get out of the city and relax. It turned out to be a great choice. Surprisingly, the hotel is only 10km away from Brussels. It is set in a wonderful forest and has a very relaxing feel. Everything is new and modern, designed with utmost attention to detail. The wellness centre is on a smaller side but is nice and sufficient to keep kids happy. The rooms are spacious and clean, floor to ceiling glass walls open up to the forest. The breakfast was rich and plentiful, and our dinner at the brasserie was a real delight. The staff was very friendly and willing to help with any questions. We all loved our stay.
