I have stayed here twice with my family overnight whilst visiting the Celtic Festival in Lorient. We had a family room for 4, a double bed and 2 single beds. The room was huge. Breakfast was a self service buffet with plenty of choice. Clean, modern hotel, friendly staff. Good location for visiting Lorient - excellent bus service.

The Les Asteries is situated in the centre of Ploemeur located some 100yds from the church .
The hotel has been modernised and each bedroom, although small, is individual and comfortable. Spotlessly clean with a shower offering plenty of hot water. The twin beds were comfortable but not very wide. The absence of air conditioning ( at least in our room ) and the room size dictates a (4) rating - very good rather than (5) rating excellent.
There is a lift to each of the three floors.
Although fronting a road, traffic is minimal as is noise.
Directly opposite is a free car park between the hours of 6pm to 9am, outside these hours you have to park in the next ( adjacent ) free car park entailing a walk of some 100yds.
Breakfast was the usual continental and was very good.
The evening meals in the restaurant can only be described as Superb. Offering a good choice at reasonable cost you will be spoilt. Whist we did eat out one evening it was an easy decision to return for the following ones.
The bar and lounge was good and the only downside here was the leather sofas were not particularly comfortable, but perhaps here I'm trying to find a fault.
In conclusion if you decide to stay at the Les Asteries you will not be disappointed with the owners, a very pleasant couple directly on hand.

A very pleasant place to overnight. Our room had been recently redecorated by the look of it & was very comfortable. Breakfast was uninspiring. Lots of parking but you need a blue disc (free) - the hotel did not have any I was concerned about being fined. We ate out.

This is a nice little place in Ploemeur – far better to stay here than in Lorient I have to say.

The hotel looks a little dull and worn down from the outside, yet once you're inside the rooms – we had a double-room – they're recently renovated, and the decor is modern and the layout excellent. And the bed was very comfortable. How often do you get that? Also, the rooms are sound-proofed, so we never heard any traffic, nor any noise from other guests, so we slept like babies zzzzzzzzz :-)

Only small issue was that we could not enter the reception area, nor the hotel, upon arrival. Basically, there was no one there to check us in. However, it appeared that the receptionist had left a message on our answerphone to let us know what our room number and the main door entry code was, yet we couldn't access that message once in France. But we quickly got this sorted with a phone call, so all was well!

We did not have breakfast, just two lovely, strong coffees, and the receptionist kindly offered us some miniature croissants, pains au chocolat and pains au raisins. Delicious start to the day.

Stayed here for a night last week. I had not expected much as it was in a small town and late evening when we checked it. To my surprise, the experience was great. The rooms were newly renovated in contemporary style, bathrooms were new and very very clean. The highlight was dining in the restaurant in the hotel - a Michelin rated chef delivered a fantastic meal while they served a well matched red wine. All at budget prices - the rooms were about 75 € and dinner was less than 20 €. These may change with season, but well worth it. The owner was engaging and the staff welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
