You could not call Chateau Les Charmettes a hotel, it's so much more! In fact its really a very delightful, stylish and comfortable 'home from home'. Cazou and Lucien, the owners, are two of the most delightful host you will come across. Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived until we departed everything was so perfect. We had two rooms for only two nights and our regret was that we did not stay longer. If you are planning to visit the Gers department of France this really is the place to stay.

My wife and I just spent three lovely days at Les Charmettes. We stayed in the elegant and comfortable Fugue Suite and its adjacent conservatory. These were the most luxurious accommodations we enjoyed during our French sojourn. We had breakfast in the salon each morning; the food was beautifully presented, varied, and plentiful.

Our hosts, Cazou and Lucien welcomed us warmly and charmed us with their intelligence, good humor, and kindness. They did everything to ensure that our stay was delightful. We highly recommend Les Charmettes!

Myself and my husband stayed here in July as we were attending a wedding nearby.
We travelled from Ireland and from the moment we telephoned to book until the owner dropped us to the station the morning of our return, they were a delight to deal with. They welcomed us personally and treated is as if we were friends staying in their home.
We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed every minute of it.
The chateau is very tastefully decorated and is luxurious throughout. We stayed in "the blue" room and I loved it. Very well appointed, tres belle. The facilities in the room were excellent. Excellent coffee machine with capsules, would be replenished as often as you like. Well stocked mini bar, there is also a small bar area downstairs and I'm sure one could have had a drink in the wonderful seated area they had past the entrance. Thoroughly recommend having breakfast by the pool we were blessed with the weather although it was quite hot it was pleasant.
The garden and pool are really unique. A wonderful luxury oasis in the middle of the countryside.
The owners were very friendly, very helpful and dropped us to the local town area the evening before the wedding. They really couldn't do enough for us.
It was a very memorable stay and Chateau les Charmettes is a real gem.
Highly recommend this special place.

We are not bed and breakfast people, we prefer to blend into the clients at a large hotel. However, Les Charmettes was one of the best experiences we had. The Chateau is lovely and you feel at home the minute you pull up in front. It is within close proximity all the sites you would want to see, an easy drive to Auch and walkable during daylight. The Chateau and its grounds are immaculate. Cazou and Lucien are gracious, helpful, full of knowledge about the area and both have great senses of humor. We came as guests and left as friends. The staff they have are also wonderful.

First you see the expansive property beyond the imposing wrought iron gate, then you see Cazou greet you at the entrance with a smile so big, warm and genuine, you feel like you've come home to mom. Inside she will usher you to your unique suite, each decorated with tender love and care where you will find everything you need, from champagne to tea or coffee, thick robes and slippers, views, oh the views. You might want to soak in the footed tub or reinvigorate after a few laps in the swimming pool. Cazou's husband Lucien might bring you an aperitif poolside or wherever you like. Gracious sitting is peppered throughout the expansive property. I could go on and on but sadly its time to go home.

Room Tip: Every suite is beautiful

This hotel is excellent on every level. If you're seeking a luxury boutique hotel experience with a friendly, welcoming service, then you won't find much better. Lucien and Cazou are fabulous hosts and the chateau has been refurbished to an extremely high standard. The rooms are all individually decorated and themed, and breakfast is taken down in the poolhouse, overlooking the pool and surrounding countryside. We stayed in the Blues room, the highlight of which is the 'ship' theme bathroom which is wood panelled top to bottom. Breakfast itself is excellent, and our hosts were happy to oblige with any requests - including dropping us into town for dinner and picking us up! I can't recall ever staying with nicer, more accommodating hosts. Admittedly the rooms are expensive, but would recommend the Blues room for best value.

From the very moiment that we entered Le Chatau Les Charmettes, when we were greeted by name, to the moment that we left, we felt that we had become temporary members of the family here! We stayed in the Blue room, which had a nice view to the trees, was spacious, had a big, comfortable bed, included a tea/coffee/chocolate machine and had a nautical theme. The bathroom was like something out of a yacht, and contained everything imaginable that a visitor might need. There was even a selection of biscuits and figs on which to nibble! Lucien and Cazou simply could not do enough for us.

There is a 45ft. long swimming pool and changing facilities (including a shower), and if you want to run or walk round the circumference of the property, it will take a while (and is indicated by blue arrows). You have to see this place to believe it!

We wanted to go into Auch for a meal. The owners reccommended some places to go, and even took us in and collected us! Breakfast is €20 per person: tempted as we were, we're not that big breakfast eaters, so we decinled the offer.

It is difficult to imagine how our experience here could have been improved. If we are ever in, or near Auch again, guess where we will be staying?

Room Tip: Anything - just go there and enjoy!
