This has slowly become our family restaurant. The food is delicious, flavors are very home-made like, but with more finesse and the plating is very appealing to the eye as well. It has been a bit old-fashioned for a while, but since the refurbishing and a new menu it has become a very good example of modern German cuisine. Definitely try the pepper steak and the lavendel ice-cream!
P.S. If you are visiting in the spring they have great asparagus dishes.
