“Very interesting, well worth a visit”
Reviewed 27 May 2013 via mobile

The staff at this centre are excellent, up stairs they have a audio video that last about 15 min
Taking in the history of the town & especially St Bridget.
Also across the square is St. Bridget's cathedral & round tower. One of the finest round towers in Ireland & one of two towers that you can enter.
A must if you are in the area

“Not a lot”
Reviewed 8 April 2013

The tourist office had little to offer in the way of information about the wider area around Kildare, the staff however did give information about areas outside of Kildare, but there was no supporting leaflets.

Kildare Town He... C, Manager at Kildare Town Heritage Centre & Tourist Office, responded to this review, 27 April 2013
Unfortunately at the time you visited we were awaiting a supply of leaflets about other regions . On a point of information, all tourist offices are alighned to particular regions ours being "On Dublin's Doorstep" and will have a good supply of information/leaflets on their particular area. The bulk of Leaflets/Pocket Books etc on a specific region will be sent to that region to ensure that visitors to the area will have them on hand when they arrive. The rest will be distributed throughout the other regions. The positive thing for visitors travelling in ireland is that if they are unable to find the information in leaflet form in one Tourist Office that it is never far to the next one. I am sorry to that we were unable to meet your requirements on the day and hope that it didn,t spoil your enjoyment of your time in Ireland

“The Heritage Centre”
Reviewed 5 February 2013

The Heritage Centre located in the centre of Kildare town is well worth a visit. It has information on all the local attarctions, events and has samples of local crafts. The staff are maost friendly and helpful and it has hosted a number of exhibitions which are very interesting -- if you are lucky enough to be there to attend!
