We needed a place to stay after a cruise and before flying back to the USA. Found this great place in the quaint fishing village of Fiumicino near the airport. Rooms were very large by European standards, flat screen TV, large bathroom with heated towel racks, comfortable king-size bed with nice linens, tiled floors. Free Wi-Fi was excellent. We walked a very blocks to the riverwalk and had our choice of quite a few nice restaurants. Since we had to leave for the airport the next morning before the breakfast room officially opened, we were given a bag with juice and a pastry. This was certainly unexpected. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience and would return.

This hotel is a failed experiment to build a 4 star hotel in the center of a run down residential neighborhood. I don't know what the neighbors had to say about it, but I know what their DOGS have to say, and they say it loudly all night long. Want to get some sleep before you travel? Hope you brought some industrial earplugs, not those wimpy things they give you on the plane. Want WiFi? There are lots of nearby restaurants where you can log on, but not here. Want directions? you better speak Italian because that's all the guy behind the desk speaks. Want to smoke in your room? This is the place, the carpets are already pock marked with cigarette burns, nobody will notice if you drop your burning butt on the floor. Think you'll save money
On the cab to the airport? Think again, it costs the same as coming from Rome, even though you can hear the planes taking off right outside your window. Which you will leave open because the air conditioning doesn't work either.
I give it two stars for the faux Roman art in the hallways. They really tried to get this right. But the neighbors weren't on board.

What a great place to stay the night before our flight from Rome to Newark. Located in a small residential area, there are plenty of restaurants, bars and some shops to choose from. Upon arrival, we were greeted politely and professionally. Breakfast in the morning was excellent as well.

We stayed for 1 night. This is a traditional style hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The Continental breakfast is excellent. The staff were very helpful too.

The hotel is in the town of Fiumicino, only a few minutes from the airport. It is within easy walking distance of the river estuary and many local restaurants and bars. Well recommended.

This was one of the best hotel stays of my life, even though it was only one night and even though I was exhausted by the time I arrived. My room (69 euros) was a small single but it was serene, sparkling clean, containing all that a traveler could need: high ceilings, a comfy bed with luxury linens, a telephone, free wi-fi, etc. The bathroom was small with a shower and nice amenities. The elevator was a wonderful old thing, slow as molasses, and loaded with character, leading down to a yummy breakfast and delicious fresh cappuccino. Actually, the whole hotel was loaded with character: soaring atrium, gorgeous art, and the kindest staff ever! It's also in a great neighborhood with charming cafes nearby. Oh, and did I tell you it's less than 15 minutes from the airport? The hotel offered a shuttle for only 9 euros, so I signed up for what turned out to be an elegant, shiny black SUV in which I was the only passenger. On the way, the driver stopped to talk briefly to a man (who turned out to be his brother-in-law) pushing twins down the street in a stroller. What a relaxed way to leave Rome.

Room Tip: I needed a room away from the elevators, and they cheerfully complied. Whatever you do, don't m...

The only good thing is that it is close by the airport. The carpeted steps to upstairs looked like they were never vacuumed. We had flying bugs in our room & all over the drapes. Woman at desk said they were mosquitos. ( like that was ok ). They did not look like mosquitos. They were flying all over the room. We did get another room,, but it felt weird staying there.. Pillows were as flat as could be. There was black mold in the shower. They claim they are a 4 star hotel. It was more like a 2 star hotel. The restroom downstairs near the restaurant was filthy !!!. We were sorry we trusted the nice pictures of this hotel. These pictures must have been taken years ago.
For $123.00 US dollars, we could have found something else that was cleaner. During the night we heard yelling and banging .

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.
