We had to stay overnight in Rome before catching a flight to Malta and the same coming back catching a flight to Los Angeles. This was perfect! Both times we walked to nearby restaurants recommended by the hotel which were excellent and even took a walk by the beach to an ice cream store. This is not a tourist town, most of the people on the streets are local. The hotel was on a side street with a view of the harbor from the breakfast floor. Since we had two big suitcases from visiting the southern part of Tuscany, we were able to store one suitcase before visiting Malta. When we came back to stay one more night our suitcase was already in our room. Yes, we definitely stay at the Domus Lina again on our next trip to Malta or other parts of Italy.
