“Good hotel, mediocre dinner”

The big advantage of this hotel is its vicinity to Fiumicino airport and a very good and reliable shuttle bus service, specially if you have an early flight. The bus leaves very punctually every half hour, at 00 and 0.30. The reception at the hotel is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are somewhat small, but well furnished, the bathroom is very modern. The keys work erratically, it is not easy sometimes to enter the room. The dinner is served in a place which does not look like a restaurant, it is in front of the lobby and as it seems part of the entrance hall, it is not too inviting. None of the dishes we had was bad, neither very good, they were prepared without any imagination and the prices were too high considering the quality. But once you stay at the hotel without a car, you do not have another choice. Due to our early flight we did not have breakfast at the hotel.

The shuttle to airport hotels is hard to locate because of construction, but this airport hotel has just what international travelers need. It is clean, the rooms are comfortable, its staff efficient and friendly, the restaurant is good and there is a breakfast buffet, the décor is pleasant, it has a small shop for forgotten necessaries, and the desk will change foreign currency. It is a good location for catching early flights, or for late arrivals.

The hotel is great for availability to the airport and it is a quiet and clean hotel. They did not have my reservation in spite of travel agent making it and sending me the confirmation. The food was good however the restaurant was busy so service was slow. Very nice wait staff. The agents at the desk did take care of getting me in the room and eventually found the reservation.

Hilton Garden Inn at the FCO airport is definitely worth the money. The location is a short shuttle ride from the airport which is provided by the hotel for free. It comes every 30 minutes so you don't have to wait long. Even though the hotel is not near anything, it provides all you need for your stay. The restaurant is very good and the breakfast buffet is great. The hotel is spotlessly clean and even now a few years old, looks brand new. You can tell that there is great pride in the upkeep of this hotel. Would definitely recommend if flying in or out of FCO airport. Top notch hotel.

My wife and I picked this hotel because we had a 7:15 AM flight out of Rome airport. The pluses are that it is a nice clean hotel, great rooms and beds, etc.

The minuses, we took a train to the Rome Airport and could not locate any signs describing where the hotel shuttle stop was, and our printed Hilton reservation did not indicate where the hotel shuttle pickup was located either. I travel a lot on business and rarely have problems finding hotel shuttles, this was the exception to the rule. When we asked the airport terminal staff they directed us to the airport shuttle stop - wrong! While waiting at that stop we saw the a Hilton Garden Inn shuttle bus drive by and literally sprinted 200 meters towing our bags to catch it at an unmarked (or poorly marked} hotel shuttle stop.

Another problem, when checking in at the hotel that night we asked the front desk personal if we could get a 5:30 AM shuttle to the airport. They advised that the hotel shuttle did not start running until 6 AM, which was reflected on a schedule taped to the reception desk. We were told that our only options for getting to the airport were to either have them call a taxi or walk about 100 meters to an airport shuttle stop that ran every 15 minutes. What kind of airport hotel doesn't have shuttle service to accommodate guests with an early flight?
Also, imagine our surprise when we checked out the next morning and saw the Hilton Garden Inn shuttle parked out front loaded with passengers for a 5:30 AM departure to the airport. We actually got our bags on the shuttle and squeezed in, thanks to accommodating passengers, but were then kicked off the shuttle by Hilton staff because we hadn’t made a reservation for an early shuttle. We then took the airport (not Hilton) shuttle and barely made our flight.

I am a Hilton Honors member and frequent guest at their hotels, but we will never stay at that hotel again.

Our shuttle service runs every 30 minutes from/to The Airport and runs also for early morning flights, before 6 o clock. We suggest to all guest to book the shuttle at the check in, if didn't happened I will definitely share this experience with the front desk manager in order to avoid this situation for the future. My wife and I stayed one night at the Hilton Garden Airport near the Rome airport. We chose this hotel due to its very close proximity to the airport and free shuttle service. The service and amenities at the hotel were very good and matched those offered by HGIs in the US.

I have one complaint regarding the wifi. I appreciate that the hotel offers free wifi to its guests but found it to be below average in connectivity and speed. Upon checkin we were given two access codes which allowed us to connect only two devices. This was a problem since we had four wifi enabled devices we wanted to get on the network: two iPhones and two iPads. Additionally, when I ran a speed test I found that both the download and upload speeds were only around 0.2 to 0.4 Mbps. This is pretty slow considering that typical hotel wifi access download speeds are generally 3 to 5 Mbps.

The hotel is near the airport and has a free shuttle to and from the airport. It is about a 15 minute trip. There is a clean and welcoming lobby where you can wait if you arrive early. Our room was ready early and the staff made every effort to get us in early. Rooms are clean and bright and the beds are very comfortable. Bathroom had both a tub and shower and was equipped with a hairdryer. Their is a restaurant and bar in the lobby and the staff is very used to working with visitors from many countries. Free Wifi is available. It does not appear to be in the flight path to the airport since we did not have any airport noise. There is an exercise room but we didn't get a chance to use it since we were just passing through. There are apparently washing and ironing facilities. The room had an electric pot to make coffee and tea in the morning and breakfast is available. An elevator is available and works well. It appeared that many flight crews stayed there. We did not see any restaurants that are in close proximity but we were really happy with the food at the restaurant - first class and more than reasonable price.

Room Tip: The area around the hotel is pretty wide open so all rooms would have good light and air.
