Clean, functional hotel with a large, comfortable room. Free wifi (fast), complimentary shuttle service to airport every 30 mins (10 mins), nice restaurant, fast elevators, welcoming staff.

We stayed here because we had a morning flight back to N. America and it was a perfect location.

Our reservation included a complimentary breakfast. Excellent selection of breakfast items, but I find in Italy and other parts of Europe that the "hot" items are always "cold".

First of all: Four stars because all food at the hotel is overpriced.

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel on Agoda (good deals, check it out!) after touring Europe for two months. Having only stayed in hostels for the previous two months, the Hilton Garden Inn was luxury!

The hotel itself is extremely clean. I'm unsure of exactly how old it is, but it definitely looks like it's newly renovated which gives a really good vibe.

The staff were really friendly and helpful upon check in and check out.

The room we stayed in was huge! It was extremely spacious and had everything we needed. Coffee, tea, sugars, etc. are provided. There is a TV which has a heap of news channels from around the world. The soaps and shampoos in the bathroom are Neutrogena (not a deal maker, but it was great for me as it's one of my favourite skincare brands, and having it on hand made our stay comfortable.)

Our bed was insanely comfortable. Every bed in the hotel has a pressure system, so you're able to make the bed firmer or softer depending on your preference. One side of our bed seemed to be broken, but it didn't matter too much to us.

Of course, the hotel is very close to the airport. There are free airport transfers back and forth every half hour. If the shuttle is running late be sure to ring the buzzer at the airport, or to ask reception if you're at the hotel! The scenery around the hotel is quite ugly which you'll notice to or from the airport, but it isn't a representation of the hotel itself at all.

Finally, the food! The food is way way way overpriced. It's 20€ for the buffet breakfast per morning per person. We got our breakfast for 10€ with the Summer Special, which was a much more convincing price than the 20 €.
Dinners are approximately 17€+ for a main at the very least. During our stay we used the communal microwave room in the hotel, although it wasn't that much cheaper to do that. Frozen meals are 6-8€ each.
If we were to stay here again, we would buy frozen meals from a supermarket before we reached the hotel to make it cheaper. The rooms have fridge/freezer combos in them, so keeping your frozen meal in the freezer until dinner time shouldn't be a problem. But then again, maybe 17€ meals are your thing... when in Rome.

Another little tip: we found it easiest to catch a shuttle bus from Rome Termini to the airport. The train costs 16€ pp, whereas the bus costs 4€ pp. We were told by someone at the station to take the train because it was 'faster' but we took the bus because it was cheaper (budget travellers, what can you do.) The bus literally took exactly the same amount of time if not less than the train, and the bus takes you straight to exactly where you need to be - where all the other shuttle buses go including the shuttle bus to the Hilton Garden Inn. So keep that in mind!

Dear Guest,

thank you for taking your time to post your very detailed review on TripAdvisor. We are pleased about your positive feedback, and that you had the chance to try every single service of the Hotel. Thank you for suggesting the Hotel and for the tips. I would add that the restaurant prices are alligned to all other Hotel's restaurants of the area, and every single meal is freshly prepared by the kitchen every day with seasonal ingredients.

We stayed at this hotel on our last night before departure home. We took the complimentary shuttle from the airport. It was a little difficult to find the shuttle location but another traveler directed us to the right spot. We arrived at the hotel near the restaurant closing time and the front desk staff stored our luggage in a meeting room so we could go directly to the dining room for dinner. The food was good, even right at closing time. We spend a nice quiet night and had a breakfast buffet, included in our room rate at 7 am before catching the shuttle to the airport in plenty of time for our flight.
We had an excellent room rate through advance purchase and had a comfortable night. We would stay here again if we needed a hotel near the airport.

This hotel has a friendly and helpful staff. The Business Center was very helpful for me. The room was clean and quiet. The restaurant served good food at good prices. The breakfast was quick and filling. The staff worked well under the busy atmosphere. The hotel helped the large group trying to go to the airport the next morning. I could print my boarding pass from the business center, watch movies or television in my room, not be disturbed by noises in the hall, the bed was comfortable. It was an excellent stay.

The staff and management were amazing last Saturday and Sunday. My flight was cancelled and all the passengers were transported to the Hilton Garden at the Rome Airport, I'm estimating that over 200 passengers became surprised guests to the hotel starting at around 4pm on Saturday, November 9, 2013. The personnel working that evening had to be under alot of stress, but handled the situation beautifully. There were three or four front desk staff doing there very best to get all of these distressed passengers their hotel accommodations and assisting the guests trying to make new flight arrangements. The catering deparment also were outstanding, they set-up a small banquet room and served a buffet to all these distressed passengers, the food and especially the waiters went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.Everyone was working together, they were working very hard to accommodate all of us.I hope US AIRWAYS realizes this hotel is awesome. Keep up the great work....

The big advantage of this hotel is its vicinity to Fiumicino airport and a very good and reliable shuttle bus service, specially if you have an early flight. The bus leaves very punctually every half hour, at 00 and 0.30. The reception at the hotel is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are somewhat small, but well furnished, the bathroom is very modern. The keys work erratically, it is not easy sometimes to enter the room. The dinner is served in a place which does not look like a restaurant, it is in front of the lobby and as it seems part of the entrance hall, it is not too inviting. None of the dishes we had was bad, neither very good, they were prepared without any imagination and the prices were too high considering the quality. But once you stay at the hotel without a car, you do not have another choice. Due to our early flight we did not have breakfast at the hotel.

The shuttle to airport hotels is hard to locate because of construction, but this airport hotel has just what international travelers need. It is clean, the rooms are comfortable, its staff efficient and friendly, the restaurant is good and there is a breakfast buffet, the décor is pleasant, it has a small shop for forgotten necessaries, and the desk will change foreign currency. It is a good location for catching early flights, or for late arrivals.
