We stayed here twice in August, before and after a cruise, having previously stayed here a few years ago.

The hotel free shuttle has been replaced by the Airport free shuttle bus that predominantly services the car parks.
To find the bus stop DO NOT head towards the sign that says hotel transport; the bust stop is directly out the front of terminal 3, where we arrived, in a specifically marked parking area.
This hotel is the last stop from the airport and first stop returning to the airport; the return trip can take over 15 minutes so don't leave yourself short of time for check-in which takes forever.

On our 1st stay we had left a small parcel of wine and olive oil that we did not want to carry to and from the ship.

We arrived at the hotel around 11am to be told, quite brusquely, that we could not check in until 3pm and we had to leave our luggage in a storage room; she didn't even bother to check if any rooms were available!

When we got back at 3pm to check in, after visiting the local and large Leonardo shopping mall, accessed by shuttle back to the airport then a local train, the clerk remembered we'd left the parcel and said she would get it after completing check-in.
The check-in process was tedious to say the least. The clerk was a trainee, as per her name badge, and spent minutes simply staring at her monitor.
Out of frustration we asked her to please get someone to assist her, which finally happened.
It then took almost 10 minutes for the staff to ask my wife for assistance to find the left parcel; clearly marked with our name highlighted.

The room allocated, facing away from the airport was quite adequate however we found the bed too soft for us.
As HHonours members we received free wi-fi that operated quite well; better in fact than it did in the public areas of the hotel.

Before dinner we met with the Duty Manager to go through our concerns about the initial attempt to check in early, and subsequent delay in checking in, and thanked us for bringing the matters to his attention. As a form of compensation we were offered a free meal in the hotel restaurant; something that was not necessary but well appreciated.
The hotel restaurant meal was quite adequate; nothing special.

Were it not for his involvement and interest our rating would have been average.
We made the point, and he agreed, that check-in staff needed better training in dealing with guests because they are the first contact a guest has with a hotel and from there form an opinion about the establishment.

After being delayed and stranded through Alitalia (I will never fly with them again) we were being booked at this hotel for the night. We decided to take a cab cause the shuttle bus was going to be full and we had to wait 20 minutes. At the reception the Front Desk employee was really friendly and empathic. She asked us for our preferences and took them into account (no smoking room with kids please). The AlItalia guests were assigned a seperate diner where food was served. It was oke but nothing special although a good selection of fresh fruits were available. The employee in the bar area was also very friendly cause as we had promised the kids an icecream she advised that the mini ice cream was more than enough.....and she was soo right. Rooms are nothing special but clean. The Hilton bed stability program is nonsense, but the beds were nevertheless oke.

We stayed here for 1 night as our flight was at 7am the next morning. Hotel was clean and staff efficient. We used the business centre to print boarding passes was very handy. We had dinner in the bar burger was yummy but pizza was horrible no sauce! Airport shuttle arrived at 5am and took 10 mins was perfect

we have booked the hilton garden inn as its near to the fiumicino airport, we stayed for one night only, the night before our departure from italy.
our family room was spaciuos and well kept, the matress of the bed where one of the best we had , very comfortable.
the staff is very friendly helpfull and welcoming.
the breakfast was surprising quality and quantity.
the hotel does offer a shuttle for the airport , as its only 10 to 15 minuts from the terminals of the airport.
we do reccomend the hilton garden inn as its outstanding in all aspects.
we will be back.

I would select this hotel to stay in prior to leaving Rome and going back to the states.Excellent in every way. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The restuarant had excellent food and the bar staff was friendly and courteous. It was very easy to leave the hotel. Get on the bus and head into Rome for a visit.

Stayed for one night while waiting for follow on flights out of Rome. We decided on a hotel close to the airport for ease of access.

Pros: Close to the airport, with free shuttle service. Self serve laundry. Small gym area. In house restaurant and bar. Very helpful staff, super fast wifi and very modern clean rooms.

Cons: Food/drink a bit expensive, but it's an airport hotel, to be expected.

Room Tip: Pre-purchase the breakfast to save on the buffet - it's worth it!

Needing to book at an airport hotel before departing Rome, we chose the Hilton Garden Inn primarily because of the shuttle bus that winds through the airport with a scheduled stop at the hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, very clean everywhere. Great dinner. Breakfast okay but likely good if you have time to order versus use the buffet. The return shuttle became super crowded after our pickup though still convenient. I stayed at another Rome airport hotel once. The Hilton Garden Inn is now my preferred hotel.
