A sudden storm and nowhere to go but a providential shelter, Il Porticciolo (The Small Marina). It was dinner time and the chef invited us to taste his menu. The place looked like a deposit with a few laid tables and dimmed gloomy lights high on the walls. We ordered vermicelli alle vongole (pasta with clams), spaghetti alle cozze e friggitelli (pasta with mussels and small green peppers), and a classic dish, frittura mista (fried seafood). All tasted good, although too salty, and in big portions. The check was reasonable.

We have eaten in this place 3 times and all 3 dinners were successful. As antipasto I definitely suggest cozze & vongole soute, as primo tagliolini allo scoglio (huge portion, could be divided for 2) and ravioli with seafood and fresh cherry tomatoes, as secondo frittura mista was nice, grigliata mista was good as well with an exception of calamaro (in my opinion it was not as soft and with a strong taste of grill). Approximately euro 65 for a dinner of 1 antipasto, 2 primi or 2 secondi, a bottle of wine, water and service. Service is not constant, with ups and downs. Reservation is needed.

I thought this place was going to be amazing amazing, after having read all the reviews. But sometimes I do not seem to have the same opinion as many people do on trip advisor. This restaurant was nice. In a cute location on the marina. They were a bit stressed out with the amount of clients they had. And some of the food was very nice and some other dishes were medicore.
The fritto misto was good. Ok not amazing. And saute of vongole and mussels was quite delicious and done well. I ordered the gnocci with vongole and this was a mistake to order, it was not good at all. It had no flavor of the vongole. We had gone to Gli archi the night before and the night after and for a similar price had a much higher level quality of food there. We had ordered vongole and also sea urchin pasta and it was to die for. The one thing which was nice was the wine list is not overpriced so you can order a nice bottle of wine here with your meal. Otherwise it did not feel right that this was listed as number one in Sperlonga.

Fantastic seafood! A relaxed restaurant in the harbour with very good food. They offer typical Italian cuisine and the results is great. Its located in a nice stroll area by the beach and the harbour. Make reservation as it fills up!
