A sudden storm and nowhere to go but a providential shelter, Il Porticciolo (The Small Marina). It was dinner time and the chef invited us to taste his menu. The place looked like a deposit with a few laid tables and dimmed gloomy lights high on the walls. We ordered vermicelli alle vongole (pasta with clams), spaghetti alle cozze e friggitelli (pasta with mussels and small green peppers), and a classic dish, frittura mista (fried seafood). All tasted good, although too salty, and in big portions. The check was reasonable.
