This hotel has everything you could need for a quiet beach holiday. It is a family hotel - no frills-no room service - just good food , great beach, great staff and the cleanest hotel I'veever been in. Fantastic

We stayed in this family run hotel many years ago when our children were young and were enchanted by the location directly on a perfect safe private sandy beach with allocated sunloungers and umbrella . The hotel rooms are plain but perfectly adequate ,with small beach facing balconies . The dining room faces onto the sea and in the evening the setting sun over the nearby Monte Circeo is unforgettable . The food is simple but delicious Italian home cooking .
We returned for a couple of days last September during a trip to Rome .The Fondi/Sperlonga station is about an hour by train from Rome and 10 minutes by bus to the hotel door,so easily achievable by public transport . We were delighted to see nothing had changed . The same family are running the hotel and we were greeted like long lost relatives. The rooms were fine and spotless ,now with free wifi ,the views unchanged, and the cooking delicious . My only word of warning ,be careful not to praise a dish too much or you will get a second helping which can seriously affect you waistline .A great hotel either with children or just for chilling out .

Great location - on the beach, close to the old town. Clean hotel. Wholly devoid of any charm though with grumpy staff, uninspired food, restricted meal times, rigid check out times.

We had to be out of the room, off the beach and out of the parking lot by 11am even though the next day was a Monday in late September and nobody was waiting to take our place.

For me there is nothing more disappointing than sitting down with a healthy appetite to a choice of only two, utterly uninspired dishes.

The manageress didn't want to know why when I told her we wouldn't be coming back.

My wife and I spent three nights at La Sirenella during our month-long trip in Italy, and we would gladly go back: owned and run for more than 45 years by the same friendly family, it is bright and well maintained, and has a well-trained and solicitous staff. Its location--on the beach, with the Mediterranean a (very short) stone's throw away--could not be better. During our stay in early May we and another couple were the only guests, except for a French family of 40 who were there for a wedding (held on the beach)--the festive mood counted for a lot. During high season, June-September, it is surely busier, but I imagine that quality of the operation remains the same.

This hotel is situated right on a sandy beach in a pretty bay. The old town up on the hill is 5 minutes walk. The bus from Fondi station stops right outside so it's easy to get to on public transport. We went there to relax after the hard work of sightseeing in Rome!
The rooms are pleasant enough - very clean with nice bed linen and reasonably spacious.
The food was good Italian home cooking - nothing complicated but very nice. After I told the owner how nice I thought the food was he offered us seconds at every meal! Full board is only €3 more per day than half board so is well worth it. Breakfast was very basic but normal for Italy. Breakfast ends at 9 a.m. which we thought was a bit early.
The owners are very helpful. They are very courteous and formal - not effusive.
One minor point - ball games (even harmless things like racket ball) are not allowed on the hotel's section of the beach. We thought this was a bit unreasonable for a family holiday but as there are public beaches either side where we could play it wasn't too much of a problem. Anyway, we got round it by playing cricket with a beach spade a bat and bits of driftwood for wickets. The beach attendant was too bemused to tell us to stop!
The place has a slightly old-fashioned feel and is all the nicer for it.
All in all, I would highly recommend both the town and the hotel. We had a very nice stay there and would definitely go back.

We have just returned from a fortnight stay in Sperlonga at La Sirenalla Hotel and would recommend this to anyone wishing to enjoy a relaxing holiday in an welcoming, attractive and extremely well run hotel.

As we booked the hotel last minute via the internet we were a little apprehensive as to what we may find on arrival. We needn't have worried.

We couldn't have wished for a more pleasant location. The hotel is directly on the beach, with it's own area sectioned off complete with beds, parasols and an attendant. And I must say that having stayed in all levels of hotel both on business and on holiday this was absolutley the cleanest hotel I have stayed in - and believe me my wife is extremely particular in this respect.

The management and staff took real pride in the hotel and were all extremely pleasant, helpful and we had a lot of fun trying to use our basic Italian language skills with everyone there.

Sperlonga is a wonderful resort for a relaxing, chill out holiday for couples and families, and La Sirenalla is a wonderful hotel run by lovely people.
