“Good location.”
Reviewed 12 October 2011

The location was incredible, very near to the city centrum with restaurants, and very near to the beach. Also a very nice breakfast ang friendly staff. Maybe a little overpriced for a standard three-star-hotell off season (october).

I am amazed to read these positive reviews. In my opinion the hotel overcharges for the service offered (we have been charged €160/night (2 people): the room I stayed in was very tiny, there was no indication on breakfast time (we found out it commenced at 8:00 am) and/or check in & check out, no 24 hours front desk (nobody was at reception at 7am despite previous indication somebody would have booked a car for me before 7am), the beach was not privately owned (this hotel as well as the others in San Vito has the allowance of having one parasol and two lounge chairs per room on the public beach), not enough towels in the bathroom. Breakfast did not offer a wide choice: only a few pastries and no cereals, toasted bread, cold milk or any kind of savoury food apart from the local “pane cunzatu”. I stayed at this hotel at the busiest time of the year: however this should not justify the poor level of service which should always be of the same standard.

Dear guest,
We would like to inform you that the 160 euro per night, is a very normal price during the very high season of the year, as on August, especially in the 3 stars hotel which has very short walking distance to the beach as ours and a room with balcony side- sea view.

The room you stayed, was a french bed room, nicely furnished, with balcony side- sea view.

Consider as well, our hotel is small family-run hotel, in every early morning, there is only the responsible of the breakfast service, that time (at 7,00 am) he was organizing for the breakfast (which starts from 8,00 am to 10,00 am).

And in case of the car and parking, our hotel is only in part in recommending which parking providers to take, the good and the trusted ones. The parking provider has no any deal cooperation with the hotel, kindly the guests have been given the business card of the parking provider, so that, they will be able to call them, anytime they need the cars. As most of the hotels in San Vito, we do not have our own private parking area and moreover we are situated in the traffic limit area, our part is only to recommend the parking areas providers to chose, there are 2 choises, the free public parking with free shuttle bus (without guards) or the parking provider with 24 hours guards.

As on your arrival, we willingly helped to call the parking provider for you (though we do not have any deal cooporation with them).

In case of the beach area, as other hotels in San Vito Lo Capo, we have a private area with life guards, which every room provided with 2 deck chairs and an umbrella. I would like to inform you as well, it will not be possible of any hotel in San Vito to own privately any part of the beach, anyway every hotel has its own private area of the beach, which is rented by the hotel.
The breakfast we serve every morning, has the quality, as home-made pastries (which are surely not the industrial ones), Pane Cunzatu, which is our traditional dish, the fruits we offer have good variation, every morning we offer at least 4 choices of fruits, we would like to let you know that some of the fruits picked up from our own garden, so there is no doubt of quality, as no chemicals on the planting, then youghurts in different kinds of taste, Italian bread, honey, jams, chocolate, 2 kinds of biscuits, cheese, ham, the variation of fruit juices, good quality of coffee (served both Italian and american coffee), vary of tea, capucino (as we serve the capucino, we could serve as well the fresh milk by request), milk, hot chocolate and some other kinds, we offer traditional breakfast foods in good variation, the touch of San Vito.

The other things, as toast and any other, surely can be provided under request of the guests, as how it always works.

Kindly, if any complain or any help needed, it's always better that you communicate directly to the receptionist (during your stay), so that we could provide what you need on your stay, it will be more beneficial and useful for the both sides, to better meet the needs of the guest, surely to provide your better stay, instead of writing it after your check-out. Thank you.

Literally 3 minutes from the beach, this small family owned bed and breakfast was fantastic. The couple that own and run the B&B were incredibly friendly and accomodating and the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful with a selection of fruit and wonderful Sicilian pastries and a nice small garden sitting area. I had no complaints and you are really made to feel at home by the wonderfully helpful and personable staff.

Stayed here with my friends for 3 nights, and the hotel was superb! Our hosts, Heny and Alessandro, are really really warm and accomodating. The beach was rather chilly when we arrived in early May, but that didn't stop us from having a lot of fun when we were in San Vito, and its mostly because of Heny and Alessandro. They recommended the best restaurants and sites to us. It was rather low season, and they were really awesome in driving us to a diving centre (when we didn't know how to get there), and also drove and fetched us to and from Zingaro Nature Reserve. Very much thankful for that, considering we were dependent on public transport, and it saved us time and all the hassle. We even arranged a taxi shuttle from Palermo airport with Heny easily through email.

The room was pretty, spacious even for 3 people, includes a balcony with a view of the streets and beach, and most importantly it was clean! The hotel is also 2 minutes away from the San Vito beach, and it can't get any better than that! Heny and Alessandro, thank you so much once again for your fantastic hospitality. We miss San Vito already!

We stayed at the Araba Fenice for eight days and I can only strongly recommend this lovely little hotel! First let me say, that if you stay on the ground floor there can be some street noise. It didn't really bother us, but for people with trouble sleeping I would recommend a room in the first (or second!) floor. Having said that, there was simply nothing that could have been better: Sheets and towels are changed daily, the rooms and common areas are spotlessly clean and well maintained. Breakfast is served in the atrium-like yard, with a nice selection of brioches (croissant-like breakfast pastry), fruits, juices. Everyday also some type of local delicacy (tomatoes and sardines in homemade olive oil...) is freshly prepared. Coffee comes from the little bar in the breakfast room...you can order what you want. The beauty about this place is it's small size (8 or 9 rooms in total) and the fact that two brothers run it who take care of everything.
This gives the place a familiy-like feel that money can't buy. One day, we were passing through the breakfast/bar-room to go into town in the early evening and one of the owners offered an apperitivo for the guests consisting of a homemade insalata di polpo and some white wine. As it turned out he caught some little calamari (polpo) in the morning...his dad makes olive oil ...he makes vinegar....e voila. It's these little treats that you have to love.

The hotel is ca. 50m from the beach and the roomprice includes the beach-chairs and umbrella. Very nice, as chairs&unmbrella typically run for 15€/day. For lunch there are countless options. However, try the "Gastronomia" (Ric Roc?) on the other side of the street for an easy yet delicious lunch. You just take a number when you enter and order from what you see in the vitrine (or from the board with the specials). For dinner we went to the "Taham" twice - amazing food (try the Cous-cous tasting menu featuring three types of cous-cous). If you want fresh fish: the "Agora" is 100m from the hotel
Dessert and coffee is a case for "Cafe Pino"...you will find it at the end of the main street (or "corso") on the left side. To try: Cassata del forno....and any type of their magical sweets.

We planed to stay there just one night because we were on a road trip, but the beach and the hotel were so nice that we decided to stay 2 nights! We were the only customers (low season) and treated like princes. The staff was helpful, they even bought fresh croissants for our breakfast, and prepared a speciality with tomatoes, delicious! The room was not so big but very clean, nice decorated and with a balcony. I overall recommend it!
