We stayed during the 3rd week in June, after spending our first week in the east of Sicily.
Cala dell'Arena is set on a picturesque hill side in a quite location, less than a 10 minute drive away from San Vito De Capo beach.
The long stony driveway into Cala dell'Arena’s court yard and the grounds it occupies are amazing. The grounds are laden with all types of flowers and blooming foliage.
The swimming pool is also striking, with a sea view and a back drop of the mountains there isn’t a better place to spend the day.
The self contained apartments are a little dated but are reasonably sized, clean and fully equipped (-TV).
Cala dell'Arena’s staff members are very friendly and helpful, giving us numerous pieces of advice throughout our stay.
Unless you plan to sit beside the pool for the duration of your stay i would definitely recommend hiring a car, there is a bus running to San Vito de Capo but having a hire car gives you much more access to the North West of Sicily.
If your looking for a quieter more relaxing holiday, then look no further than the Cala dell'Arena.

An easy 70 minute drive from Palermo airport, follow the signs to Trapani and then to San Vito Lo Capo, it's the left turn before Macari.

3 supermarkets 10 minute drive away.

The place is on the mountain side, 300 meters from the beach, with a perfect Sea view. Wifi in the entire place and friendly staff.
You can get the breakfast they offer, pretty nice, or stack your fridge with stuff for the week.
The kitchen includes fridge, burners, cutlery, pots and pans, tables on the patio and inside.
Rooms are clean, pillows are not the greatest.
There are 3 good restaurants within 5-10 minutes, Pocho, Il Ficodindria, Antico Borgo and really nice and I've reviewed them.
Avoid dinner in San Vito Lo Capo by the water, all tourist places.
They will charge about 15EUR a day, regardless, for towels and cleaning etc, so have them refresh every day.

The Pool area is PERFECT, no words needs.

Room Tip: Take the room on the second to highest row, rent a car, and stack your fridge with Beer, Wine and all the good stuff. Go to the large Supermarket (Simply) for all but the wine.

We stayed for a week off season. Everything would have been perfect (pool, cleaniness, view, staff) if the furnishings had not been so sparse, especially when you stay with a family and actually do intend to use the kitchen equipment in particular. For the rest, highly recommendable.
