“Friendly small hotel”

We only stayed one night but would not hesitate to go back. Sarah and Karen made us very welcome and our room, facing the mountains, was very peaceful. The large hotel terrace has lovely views and is a comfortable place to relax. The restaurant was closed the day we were there but Karen told us where to eat in the village (El Desvan) and we were not disappointed. Breakfast in the hotel was also excellent, with plenty of choice. Overall the hospitality was outstanding.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a mountain view

Situated centrally in the village, with fab views out over the mountains, the room was most pleasant and comfortable with plenty of space. We were looked after very well and made to feel at home immediately. Breakfast was generous. As noted, an absolute bargain, and I won't hesitate to recommend La Casa to friends.

We visited La Casa on Sat 22 Feb for dinner, we had been recommended it by friends who stay there every year.
Karen, Sarah & Neil were all very friendly and made us very welcome. The food was delicious and served in a nice relaxed environment. We cant recommend this place enough!
Sarah showed around the unoccupied rooms - which were absolutely stunning and finished to a very high standard.
If you're in Torrox this place is a MUST. Get off the main square and it's just a short walk up one of the streets.
Next time we visit Torrox - we shall definitely be back!
Best Wishes to the 3 of you. See you soon Penny & Malc

Thank you for reviewing our restaurant.
Our aim at La Casa is to make everyone that visits us have an enjoyable time, we know from our own experience you can often trail around looking for somewhere good to eat so a recommendation from friends is always a great option!
We are really pleased you had a lovely time and we achieved our aim.

Thank you again and we hope you visit again soon!

This place just can't be faulted. I last visited La Casa some years ago and was mightily impressed back then. My visit this time was just as exceptional and special thanks have to go to Karen, Sarah & Neil who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated, superbly clean and as comfortable as can be. Just waking up to the superb scenery was a treat all on it's own! All the food served was outstanding and definitely a "must do" whether you are staying at the hotel or just visiting the area. We were lucky enough to attend one of La Casa's "curry nights". Not only was the home cooked fare wonderful, but the disco afterwards was fun and well attended. A great night out for a bargain price! All in all a terrific stay & whilst we were sorry to leave, we've vowed not to leave it so long the next time.

Room Tip: No worries - they're all fabulous

We booked La Casa on our 3rd visit to Torrox having stayed self catering the 1st 2 trips. We have no complaints, room was nicely decorated, bed comfy and shower lovely. View out of the window was fabulous and our welcome was very warm despite it being late at night.
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and we would highly recommend this hotel and will definetly stay again on our next visit

Another fabulous stay in November to celebrate my husband and friend's birthdays. The last time we were here was September and we always receive a lovely warm welcome. I do not know why the previous reviewer has a problem with the room she had as we have had this room on a number of occasions and love it. Yes it leads out onto the terrace and has absolutely amazing views of the mountains and the village. It also has voile curtains which can be closed so no-one can see in and has roller shutters which work from the inside if you want total privacy. We and our friends love this place - by the way you can have whatever you wish for breakfast if you make a request. Most people don't go to a Spanish village for traditional English breakfast. Probably better trying one of the hotels in Fuengirola! Roll on February when we will be back.

Having fell in love with Torrox many years ago and stayed at various places we thought we would give the Hotel La Casa a try.
Our room was lovely except for us not having a private balcony, we faced out onto a communal terrace so if any other guests were out there having coffees etc they could see straight into our room. Also there were no where to put our toothbrushes not even a shelf, a little holder wouldn't have broke the bank.
The breakfast was ok if you like cereals and croissants which we don't so we used to visit a lovely little café in the square for cooked breakfast. I felt uncomfortable with the serve yourself bar, I think this encouraged people to go out more to the local bars. I got the impression they didn't like serving or cooking breakfast.
As for the good points , the rooms are very nicely decorated and clean and the view of the mountains is breath taking. You could not fault the food in the restaurant, they had a fantastic menu and the meals were cooked to perfection. The host are very friendly too but a week was too long. I think it would more suit the 1 to 2 night back packers.

We are always interested in our customer feedback and how we can improve our small family run Hotel. I have written to you twice regarding your stay, unfortunately you have not replied.
A private balcony is available at La Casa in the form of our suite, which is always offered as an upgrade if available should our guest require more privacy, however the Flamenco room is still our most popular room with direct access to the terrace.
The Flamenco room also has a vanity unit in the bathroom, and we normally supply a glass each for your toothbrush, if this was ommitted from your room during your stay our apologies.
We have looked at our breakfasts and how we can improve, and over the last year have introduced fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, ham cheeses toast and fresh croissants we also cook eggs to order for each guest., we serve everything including tea and coffee to the table all except the cold items so guests can choose. We do not offer a full English breakfast as we cater for an international market (we would also then be accused of being too English!) Finally I would like to say I do not agree at all with your final statement that a week stay is too much, this area is amazing for exploring and there is so much to see in this beautiful region.
Kind regards
Sarah
