El Faro - Beim Singenden Wirt is the first restaurant at the East end of the Torrox promenade not far from the Lighthouse ("Faro" in Spanish). Beim Sindenden Wirt is German for "Your singing Host" It is also situated next to the archeological site of a Roman Oven.
Four of us went for lunch on Monday in January. On Mondays they have a special "bratwurst" offering. A single bratwurst with bread and mustard is only €2. Various other options were with curry dressing €2.50, with coleslaw €3.50, with chips or potato salad €5 or with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut €5.50.
The bratwurst sausages are grilled outdoors on a small barbeque.
It was a mid-January lunchtime and the restaurant was full. Clearly very popular (especially with many of the local German residents) because of the low cost Monday lunchtime offering. They have other offers during the week with music
