“Excellent food plus good with children”
Reviewed 3 June 2011

Nothing was a problem here. We always got there last minute for food but it never phased them. The waitresses were really good with my grandaughter (Jackie you are a star with those mussels). During our stay there was 2 delightful puppies that had to come to work with their owner. Food was always spot on. Would definately recommend this one.

Lovely hotel;clean, warm, comfortable and very friendly, welcoming staff. Food very good- breakfast a Scottish delight.
We arrived here by chance and a room was available- it was a stormy windswept day; caravans and camper vans were blown over up the glen. The hotel staff cared for those unfortunate souls who had had lucky escapes.
Glad we happened upon such super lodgings and would return if there again.

The staff were exceptionally kind during the recent storms. We were staying in the local caraven site with our motor home and after a terrrible journey in the storms during which the roof was blown off our van and we lost our towels the hotel and all the staff were so kind and let us borrow towels. I was proud to be scottish by the way all the staff rallied round to help another couple from Wales whose motor home was totally wrecked. The hotel took them in and looked after them and the next day the manager took them to hospital to be checked out.

Myself, partner and teenage son stayed for a grand weekend here. We spent Friday evening in the friendly bar, good service, meal, and a real buzz. Excellent food, a breakfast to set you up for the day. Mention must be made of the friendly and cheery staff, help with cases when needed, and this must be the most dog-friendly hotel in Scotland. The scenery is fantastic, it rained this time for us, but having previously been there in sun, that's Scotland for you. Will be back again.

We have visited a few Crerar Hotels in the past so we decided visit one that we hadn't been to before to celebrate my birthday. What a big disappointment on arrival we could tell that the hotel is really just a watering hole for hillwalkers and not for couples looking to enjoy a weekend break. The hotel has air freshener plug ins everywhere, not a good sign. Our room had been refurbished (from Ikea) but the bathroom was disgusting. I had emailed the hotel before arrival and was told that we would be allocated the best room in the Hotel. If this was the best room then I wasn't interested in seeing the others. Definately not a Crerar Hotel. We checked out after 1 night and decided to go somewhere else to celebrate. I contacted the hotel by email on return but they didn't seem interested.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be the same, below par.
