“Nice walk and views”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

If you would like a short walk in lovely surroundings this is for you, there are a few walks you can do but most just settle for a walk around the Lochan. well structured paths follow the lochan and are suitable for prams and wheelchairs. the forest is lovely with great views of the surrounding mountains. if you have a hour spare its a must visit when in the area.

“Little Piece of Paradise, well worht the visit.”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

We took the opportunity to turn up the road to this place, after I read about it on a walking website. we were all so glad that we did.
After reaching the car park, a 5 minute walk along either a steeper section, or a winding area easily accessable for people in theirs 70's and 80's, leads you to the Lochan itself.

This is a little paradise for sure. A gentle, and level walk around the lochan took my mother (in her 70s) 35mins, so that gives you an idea of the ease of it. The views are amazing all around the Lochan. On one side you see the Pap of Glencoe, all covered in snow (Feb2013), then further round again, more mountains covered in snow in the distance... really beautiful.

You have two choices, the level easy walk back.. Or the steep walk up through the forest on the way back. It adds a maximum of 15mins on to your walk, it is steep so don;t attempt it if unfit, elderly, or any health issues limit you.

But both choices are rewarding for many reasons... the continued lochan walk is so good for the soul really, while the climb up through the trees, and back down and around is lovley to be in this this firested area also.
Well worth the effort, and thoroughly recommended.

“Lovely walk”

Situated not far from Glencoe Village this small loch has well structured walking paths around the loch or through forests, a lovely area with stunning views, you can almost forget you are in the UK and can be mistaken for Canada or the alps, such a lovely place to be

“A Hidden Gem”
Reviewed 3 January 2014

This Lochan is hidden away behind Glencoe (we only found out about it when a local recommended it). It is absolutely beautiful! A short but beautiful walk

“Lovely walk”
Reviewed 21 December 2013

We have enjoyed walking around the lochan many times and exploring the other trails. A very peaceful place to take a stroll and take things easy. There are benches placed around the lochan to stop and take in the views and take many pictures.
