I drove to this lodge from Edinburgh and almost lost trying to locate this gem. Finally with some local help we arrived at the lodge and greeted by a charming lady, Ann Parry. She is friendly and her partner Dan Parry is full of houmous. The lodge may be a bit pricey but it worth the money. It is quit, facilities are up to date and excellent. The host and hostess are very knowledgeable locally. I always consult both of them with anything regarding tours and road. Ann is also an excellent cook. She never disappoint us with daily breakfast. Highly recommended for people who want to do their own thing. Glencoe is also serve as a base to Forth William for the Jacobite Steam train and to Forth Augustus, the beginning of Loch Ness.

Room Tip: Select the room that facing the mountain.

Ann and Dan welcomed us in the most cosy, professional and respectful atmosphere we could hope. Their place is probably your best reward to a long rainy and muddy day, walking around Glencoe: Book a night in their amazing super-king size bedroom (a must in this b&b), enjoy their delicious breakfast (try the porridge, Ann's receipe is awesome!), listen to lovely stories and watch pictures about their passion for montain, hiking, climbing and other beautiful trips.
Even thought the weather was not the best for our hiking day, we followed Dan's advices and mapp to the hidden valley.. great first experience.. to be continued!
Thanks a lot for all!
Camille

We very reluctantly left the Strath Lodge this morning after a 2 night stay with Ann & Dan in their exceptionally homey B&B. They both welcomed us warmly upon our arrival and offered us a hot beverage which we gladly accepted. Both continued to go above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Breakfasts were delicious and satisfying. There was a large variety to choose from for breakfast. The location is just a bit out of the town center, but well within walking distance of the local restaurants. Our room was large, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and did not lack the comforts of home. We really did not want to leave this wonderful B&B; but we had to go on to the next leg of our trip. Neither my husband or myself could find even one small negative thing to say about the Strath Lodge or its owners. We hope to come back to Glencoe, and we will not even consider staying anywhere but the Strath Lodge. This is what every B&B should be.

Dan and Ann - wonderful hosts

House accommodation, location and layout are absolutely top notch. Great to find such a lovely place in the Glencoe area. Ideally located for many of the best hikes in the area.

We will return.

We stayed after looking at various accommodation in Glencoe and so glad we stayed here. We were made to feel at home and the room was fantastic with a huge bed and a great sofa to watch TV and relax after a long day walking. The house is set in the woods and is peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of Glencoe and tourists (although only 2 minutes walk away and the Clachaig pub is just 10 mins walk up the road). Ann was extremely helpful at supplying walking suggestions both in the local area and further a field, especially useful when the weather is bad and you need alternatives to climbing big Munros. Breakfast was extremely generous with a wide range available - dietary requests were also taken on-board and kindly catered for.

I know this is a relatively knew B&B to the area and is sure to get many more very good reviews. For the price, it's also extremely competitive and offers great value for money. Can't speak highly enough of this place and the hosts. Highly recommend - we didn't want to leave!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in PAP and it was huge, would stay there again. All rooms seem very good though.

Stayed in Strath Lodge for one night as part of a tour of the west coast of Scotland. The lodge is immaculate and ideally situated for touring Glencoe. The two owners are very friendly and have a very welcoming and relaxed approach. Both have a detailed knowledge of the area and can provide tours to suit all abilities. The local pub is also fantastic with a wide range of beers and a good menu.

Breakfast is perfectly cooked and will set you up for the day. If you are in Glencoe this is definitely the place to stay.

Coming from Switzerland we are use to high standard accommodation and cleanliness. Strath Lodge was even beyond our expectations.

This was even better than the castles and Manor houses we stayed in. On top of that the breakfast was great.
