My partner and I strolled into Bluebiyou on one of our gorgeous sunny Autumn Saturdays keen to enjoy a leisurely lunch at this beachside restaurant cafe. The view from the "deck" was lovely, and a quick peek into the restaurant dining area to see the recent renovations (which aren't quite completed) impressed me (see photos).
Service was disappointingly inattentive or maybe it was just inexperience? We had to ask to have our order taken and thankfully they did so before the large group otherwise we would've had a long wait as well. Both of us were unimpressed with the menu for lunch - limited and not very appealing. Crispy beer battered Fish n Chips and Warm Prawn and Spinach Salad were ordered. The prawns were tasty but drowned in a dressing and merely plonked on a pile of spinach leaves. The fish was fresh but unfortunately the beer batter was thick and heavy and dressed with another supermarket salad.
We grabbed a photocopied winter dinner menu on the way out and will be going back for dinner one day.
