Description: Soulburger is a gourmet burger bar with over twenty different options for you to choose from. Starting with our basic Classic burger and lil burgers for kids to the Lost Soul and the Magic Mushroom filled with all sorts for the hungry! We hand make all our patties including our vegan patties and aioli sauce that not only goes on most of our burgers but is fantastic for dipping our extra tasty chippies in, seasoned with our secret spices. We're a small restaurant and work hard to maintain an extra high level of quality by making as many of our sauces and fillings as we can on site. We offer cold beers, wines and liquor drinks if you like to wash your burgers and fries down with a frosty beverage. Whangamata is a famous surf beach and is an easy stroll to the sandy shores to see the action in the water, or just get your toes sandy and walk off an awesome meal. Come visit us at Soulburger where our freindly staff will whip you up something to feed your soul!

“It was the only restaurant open and the burgers were tasty”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

At 7.30pm on a Monday we could find no restaurants open until we found Soul Burger - and they were about to close! The young couple service agreed to stay open long enough to serve us 2 burgers and chips and to kindly wait while we ate them sitting outside at one of their tables.

They were even kind enough to recognise that we don't normally eat burgers with our fingers and gave us each a knife and fork! It was tasty and good value

“Not Burger Fuel”
Reviewed 6 June 2014 via mobile

Queue was out the door, which is fine because it was summer, so we thought great this place must be good. Oh no. You're told 30 mins wait for food, after 45 mins passed still nothing. I asked for a glass of tap water to be told 'we don't have any glasses you can buy bottled water' so I asked for water in one of the silver things they were taking milkshake a in, and I was given the TINIEST paper cup. Can't remember what the food was like because this more experience has flooded my brain

“Excellent Burgers”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

A busy, small place serving first class burgers and equally good fries. Lots of burger variations on the board but pretty sure you they'd make you whatever combo you want. Not a lot else to say, if a proper, freshly cooked burger is what you crave in Whangamata then you need to head to this place.

“All bun no filling”
Reviewed 3 March 2014

We had dinner here on night on our holiday, very expensive for what you received. A big bun with not much inside it and staff more concerned gossiping between themselves.

A great little place with a wide range of "burgers" on offer to suit all diets. Young staff hard working and very pleasant. Tip: call ahead and order to save possible lo g wait.
