“Third night on tour”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

Large rooms with all facilities, we had a good walk to the beach, and found that the local shops were very handy. For dinner we were taken to the Whangamata Club which was only a short walk away. and had a really great meal . The day that we were due to leave was very wet and we were able to wait in the laundry room while our bags were being packed on to the bus.

First impression of my stay here is great. Main points:

> Very clean.
> Plenty of SKY TV channels.
> Pool and jacuzzi.
> Water pressure is awesome.
> Close to town i.e. there's a dairy, food outlets and gas station nearby.

Great comfortable stay at this location. Price was a bit on the high side - probably due to weekend. TV is a bit old (CRT 14" I think) but acceptable.

This was our first time in Whangamata and having stayed at the Palm Pacific Resort made our experience that much more enjoyable.

Our unit had been recently renovated and was very clean and well decorated.

The facilities were all well kept and tidy.

Spending the day relaxing at the big pool is a must !

In Feb 2011 we went to Whangamata for a long weekend - 4 families each with at least 4 children.
I honestly think the kids had the best time of the year together as they really enjoyed hanging out in the pool (even the spa and the kids pool as they have three different pools) and on the beach.
The beach in Whangamata, particulary at the Surf Club, is awesome. You can surf there during the whole year, even in winter.
We stayed in an appartement each with a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. We even had enough space that the kids could watch TV together.

If you want to escape your everyday life just for a weekend and don''t have money I really recommend Palm Pacific Resort in Whangamata! Take your family and friends and enjoy a beautiful stay and let the friendly and lovely staff helping you to forget your normal days.

Spent 4 days at this fabulous resort. Travelled with my wife and 2 children and found the staff and accommodation perfect. Arrived after a long drive and found the staff to be welcoming and friendly. Our room was in order on arrival and clean. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect and very spacious . Room complete with separate lounge area and kitchen. Outdoor seasting area overlooking manicured garden.
The grounds are very well kept and the pool & Spa facility was amazing! Great location - walk to bars , restaurants and beach.
Would defintely recommend this resort as it represented excelent value for money, friendly staff and the rooms & grounds are well kept

While in NZ for business from Australia I had a few days off and found this resort and was very impressed, what a great place, owners were friendly & helpful, it was clean & tidy and a great location being so close to everything incl the beach. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to going back with my family in the near future for a proper holiday.

My husband and I are on the finial leg of our trip and it so nice to stay in place that not all jammed in. We stayed on the top floor with a view over the pool and enjoyed having our morning coffee on the balcony in the sun.

Room Tip: Top floor over looking the pool
